  2. it's called powder coat. some people call it powder cosmo because it is similar in color to Cosmo Black

  7. you'll need a vacuum table to do it... basically a big thick plastic bag with a vacuum pump attached. You glue the top on and suck all the air out of the bag which bends the top somehow Ive seen the vacuum table at vh-guitarstore.com but I dont know whats done in prepareing the top before it's attached. ie. wet it steam etc.

  12. Get some automotive masking tape, it comes in widths from 1/16" on up. The narrow stuff is really good for bending curves and still holds paint from getting underneath. Mask your pattern with this, then use regular masking tape to cover the rest of the area you dont want painted
  13. It will be as smooth as the wood underneath the oil. Carvin Uses Tung Oil as an option on their necks. I personally like it, but I have spoken to others who have not

  16. Stewmac sells the direct mount screws. Personally if the height doesnt need adjusting I'd use the small screws that attach the pickup rings to the body
  17. Look at an Ibanez Prestige model. Those have the inlays you're talking about
