  6. Im really liking your work pied, i am aspiring to start my own business in the future, i am only 16 so im getting all my practice ones done now:P im on my third build now, and i have to agree with Wez every instrument is leaps and bounds ahead of the other in quality. There are also lots of different learning curves for building say Extended range instruments, to neck through and all of that sort, but i wish you luck! Bass-man43

  13. OKay sorry for the lack of updates. I have gotten TONS of work done on this since i last posted, unfortunately I don't have any pics as of yet but I swear i will take some tomorrow But as for the work, i got the neck blank all glued up, then i got the fretboard on, and jsut today i cut out and shaped headstock, trimmed and routed neck to the fretboard taper and the neck is roucgh shaped. I forgot the body today so I didnt know where the exact joint was so i kept it at 18th fret to be safe(rather than sorry) but it is looking BEAUTIFUL. Well as i said progress picks tomorrow, ill have to keep you all in suspense PEACE Bass-Man43

  18. No the laminates are not angled i just didnt have the wings on the template properly before i took the pic.
  19. I think you honestly should grow up and stop asking people what their problem is because no matter what anyone says to you you always take it the wrong way, nobody here has to give advice to you, they choose to, and if your sick of all the "bashing" you are getting why do you keep coming back to the forum and posting. I am 16 and i have a better sence of maturity then you do. Bass-man

  23. Okay sorry for the lack of posts on this one, jsut finishing up the 7 string rhoads(going for primer tomorrow) but I have the body cut and routed to shape and Cut out a piece of wenge for the neck laminates, still cant decide between 3 piece or 5 piece neck doh!! will figure out tomorrow when i work on her. And I just figured out a name for this sucker, it will be called the "Oreo" bass becase of all the maple and wenge it looks just like one lol. PEACE
  24. Well I'm going to have to put my two cents in here, when my dad painted my 6-string bass we fiber glass resined the back of the neck then We masked off some flames, sprayed silver, then unmasked it and sprayed candy read over it...Looks amazing, the resin added alot for strength, the neck hasnt budged at all, i need to adjust the rod in it now cause of new string but before it was dead straight. But i would STRONGLY recommend against doing that over paint. Because the fiberglass would leave a rough texture on the neck and you would HAVE to clear coat it, thus building up more material. Bass-man
  25. Okay, well today I got the wenge body wings planed down and bookmatched and are ready to be glued. On monday I will plane down the maple to 3/4 then will glue the wenge to it. Will get some pics up monday. bass-man
