  1. Thanx a million. That's exactly what I need. Now, why wasnt that there earlier?
  2. My hand isnt as steady with paint pens as I thought. I wanted the big K small R logo intact, but cant find one.
  3. This is funny. OMG that looks hideous. I'm gonna refin the whole hearstock and buy a decal off ebay.
  4. Good call. Gonna go now. Have more pics up soon.
  5. Post a pic. Someone should know. And there's a tutorial on the main site too.
  6. Hmmm....like I said, no issues yet, but why take unneccesary risks? I have so much scrap it aint funny. Time to change that. Thatnx guys for saving me later headaches
  7. I'm in the middle. My neck, gonna sell it when its done
  8. Shaller, grover, and gotoh all make mini tuners that would fit great. Gotos are great, korean and inexpensive, but very reliable. Also, you could take 2 sets of ping 6 in line (1 L 1 R) and then eliminate the screwholes.
  9. I get it all the same price. I just pick thru for the quartersawn. Windsor plywood.
  10. Krylon's acrlic glaze is great too. Check out reranch. All areosal cans (rattle can). Nitro and all. Designed for that same purpose
  11. Here's the headstock. You may notice the 5 tuner holes. I prefer to drill after the finish base coat is on with something like this. A uniform color helps me see more accurately. I will touch up the logo with some gold leaf paint.
  12. And just for the record, I decided to make the repair stealth. The Lmi dyes rock. Got the tint nailed in like 20 minutes. Would have taken forever using food dye or something. Not suprised either. Kinda like using a flathead screwdriver to remove a phillips screw. It can be done, but there's a better way. And everything isnt royally screewed up when yer done
  13. I said as yet. I didnts say I wouldnt take 2 seconds to grab some scrap wood from now on. Trust me, I have enough, and before I have issues, I'll use it
  14. They have those little rubber things on them and have had mo problems as yet
  15. Should also note that I have done many repairs and such. I am quite good at repairs, but building needs a bit of work.
  16. In this pic the clamp is on the board pulling the ears towards it.
  17. Yeas, but I wanted to have some room for error. I am doing most of my thicknessing and shaping with a drum sander. I may even refinish it so it looks undetectable.
  18. Love to take it, but I be broke. The 10% discount seems pretty standard.
  19. This may not be the "correct" way, but it works. Here is a Kramer neck that had the tip broken off. I planed the spot (sorry, no pics) and then prepared 2 pieces of maple to glue on, then reshape. Here are the pics so far:
