  1. LOL, yah i just got a Turbo cad program for free off of www.guitarbuild.com and it works alright, but its hard to get a good curved body shape, and you cant erase anything!! i miss ms paint...
  2. Did you draw it freehand or use CAD or somthing, i cant tell from looking at it. But its very nice, the whole body looks like one movment.. god there i go sounding stoned again....

  4. My (high end) ibanez 6 string bass dosnt have anyfiller, the neck is beutifully sanded. Frets are just right.
  5. yah, i tried blowin up a 5'' x 5'' pic to 1' by 1' and it looked awful.

  7. I may sound stoned, but would hard rubber work for a body... besides the weight issue.
  8. I think i have seen one in a pawn shop for 200. but it may have been a different brand.. it didnt really draw my attention.
  9. you could cut the slots yourself and get um right. A slotter is pritty cheap off stew mac.
  10. I like having some gerth, and weight to my hardware (wow that sounds dirty) :-/
  11. hmm that body would look kinnda cool for a bass, with the carl tompson '10 million dollar bass' head stock.

  15. I think it takes a real level of dedication to save up enough money to buy a kickass guitar, adn then cut it up in the sake of learing somthing new. besides a home made guitar is better than a bought guitar any day, even if it dosnt sound as good.

  17. This just reminded me, I have this kind of old ash chair that the leg is broken on, If I got it planed it would be the right size for a couple of body wings. I may do some hacking in a few weeks.

  20. Hey, have any of you seen that movie 'the red violin' if so, in the begining, is the guy there using shellac (the stuff thats mixed with blood) or somthing else?
  21. how much do CAD programs cost? and how the hell do you get a printer that big, or do you just tape the peices togeather... or am i missing somthing? -Dylan
