  1. damn, i know my sig is now an illegal resident.. but it looks so cool mehmehmeh
  2. you'll just need to unscrew it til the bridge is at the level you want and the strings are in tune, remember once you've unscrewed it a bit, when you tune it up it'll raise even more you can also adjust the bridge height if you want and you'll probably want to intonate it afterwards too
  3. you can basically think of playing a mode over the same mode if your playing in a certain mode.. you can play it over single notes or chords that are made up of the same notes(the same mode) many chords will work under a couple of modes because those chords can be made from the notes of those couple of modes that make sense?
  4. yeah i can agree, they've TRIED to be more versatile
  5. i'll agree slayer are more technically profficiant but i'd say metallicas guitars are still more skilled in terms of musicality, they just sound nicer to the general ear creativity though.... i think metallica have been far more versatile throughout their career, more slayer sounds the same than metallica sounds the same to me when i was young i thought metallica were good too, but it wasn't ignorance, it was musical taste...an ever changing thing it seems i don't listen to metallica at all anymore by the way... just not a fan anymore
  6. if i understood correctly, it seems your main problem may be that the claw on the back in the trem cavity may be screwed in too far but i've never had an edge, i think i know how they generally work though, i have the lo pro edge which is very similar they're the same except for shape and fine tuner placement right?
  7. yep that's how it should be, this will have everything you could want i think http://www.ibanezrules.com/tech/setup/index.htm
  8. i had a hard time making the side without the finger grooves a nice curve.. it's kinda an illusion cos i simply made the edges a nice curve, so then the whole thing looks like a good curve, and it's not too noticable by feel
  9. thanks man, oh and the cutaway on the back thing looks really deep in that pic, actually it's about halfway into the guitar so it should still have enough wood to remain strong
  10. well the headstock doesn't say albene anywhere so i guess its a malibu
  11. this one's not my guitar actually... my old samick i sold to a friend who cut a massive half moon into the bottom
  12. yeah i read the tut, but couldn't be bothered doing it exact, thx Eddie, when you say deep do you mean distance from the edge of the guitar? i did that on purpose, it's a strat shape so i kinda got to put it wherever
  13. it's got a lot wrong with it, it's nothing like an actual jems but i drew it on by hand anyway, it looks neat enough for the job(hell it's only a crappy samick ) so i'm stoked
  14. as a zeppelin fan i still think hendrix was more skilled look at i this way... if hendrix was in zeppelin and still wrote the same riffs with a bit of his own flavour and whenever he solo's just busts out his own thing they would have ROCKED sooooo much harder! solos/solo construction/skills=no contest, songwriting and riffs =page but hendrix could do it if he wanted
  15. metallica easy even with the blemish of st anger cmon.. the slayer singer sux, talk about monotonous slayer drummer probably kicks lars' ass so i give you that but guitars are so much more emotional and well thought out on tallicas side KK has some sort of technical profficiancy but can you say "i love the chromatic scale so much i think i'll marry it" ???
  16. good, were not brits anymore ya know they lived on this land first=makes sense to use their flag..... or my personal favourite=let's make a new one!!
  17. hmmm i might try something like this on a volume knob or pickup selector damn cool ideas people
  18. hey, maybe i can get some then? here in Aus...
