  1. I voted for dayvo on the principal of 'which one would i take'
  2. Sorry to butt in but alternatively you could use a plough plane which does it all in one go (mine hase two blades that cut the side of the channel first the link doesn't appear to have them) it also works on narrow pieces where i think a router plane may start to wobble? http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a262/Der...es/LVplough.jpg
  3. hey travis, If it was me i'd think about moving the knight so that you don't lose so much of it behind the pickups and bridge... but thats just me
  4. Ignore restorations advice. sitting on it will definately reduce its value! I wish I had a cool guitar like that!
  5. http://www.ecamo.co.uk/image-viewer.php?im...mo+Umbrella+Hat
  6. make a buggy out of the remains of that remote conrol car! actually a remote control buggy...
  7. I'd get a drum machine any half decent one comes packed with loops which you can alter them then when you get the hang of it you can build your own. and its far more fun than playing with your mouse
  8. its very similar to a rickenbacker 360 sortof. as above just do it
  9. Why not make individual bridge plates for each wilkinsons saddle neil?
  10. Avengers is actually right. the best flutes are sterling silver, or sometimes platinum. I have never heard a solid gold flute (they do exist they apparently have quite a warm tone) but I've played a few gold plated silver ones. Your typical everyday flute would be nickel silver. http://iwk.mdw.ac.at/Forschung/english/lin...linortner_e.htm Silver is a wee bit harder than gold by the way. Why is everyone forgetting that steel is incredibly resonant? Tuning forks anyone? My bike frame has a lovely ringing tone!
  11. they had a joint the the power tool removed said joint....
  12. I wondered that too atleast to any significant degree.
  13. Tried it a few times when I was younger but I quickly realised Its a bit boring
  14. red or white roses? I was in manchester the other week at the velodrome and then I went into asda and saw what was blatantly yorkshire tea rebadged lancashire tea!
  15. god save the queen (you decide which version) extreme north west as in carlisle or pretend northwest as in manchester?
  16. How on earth are you planning on using the middle two tuners? Can I make a suggestion? do a bit of reading not knowing what a tenon is kinda shows you might need to learn a bit. And then do a bit of reading on how to plan the guitar full size because unless I'm missing something that headstock is going to give you some serious tuning difficulties. and then stop and think and go over everything again. and then practicing on some scraps. THEN start building having said that I'm not great at following my own advice! This is pretty much the current bible.... http://www.amazon.com/Make-Your-Own-Electr...r/dp/0953104907 ... there are others
  17. while we are on the subject of melvyn what happened to his website?
  18. I someyimes have to shave twice a day so whenever I don't need to the beird grows. Then I get annoyed with it and it comes off again. Pretty much the same story with my hair its such a pain.
  19. Everyone one knows we suffer shrinkage when its cold... OH! we are talking about guitars!
  20. I already voted boggs. AndyT got my vote just for the finish. Kenny I liked yours alot and would have voted but n the end I tossed a coin Boggs read above. Low end fuzz. sorry but its far to all over the place but specifically I don't like the tacked on bits on the control cavity cover (if ever there was a case for black plastic!) I have no doubt it plays better than anything I've yet to produce! swedish luthier. same issue as I think wez had about the the shoulder looking slightly odd. but it is very classy KPcrash Ugly?! I think not, thats my kinda bass plain and simple with huge pickups
  21. I'll admit I don't really like the guitar when its on a stand boggs but when its being played it looks alot better and quite cool. Although I definately subscribe to the change the headstock crowd that would make a huge difference. 3+3 would look much better in my humble opinion or even something violin like like an old burns scroll thing
