    I love the shape, it wouldn't bother me about not being able to go above the 15th fret too much cos its rare i use it. The only thing i would of done is make the body a bit fatter, but then again that could just the picture making it look slightly skinny.

    With the solid bar toward the bridge, the sound is a little brighter and better-defined, and this is the direction we recommend for heavy strings and low tunings. With the adjustable polepieces toward the bridge, the sound is warmer and a touch louder, and we think this works best for standard tuning and more solo-oriented playing. From the DiMarzio website.

    Its also the mains convertor thing as well. Could i just buy a replacement power supply for the english mains or will i still need to use the convertor?

    In theory, could you put one pickup at the bridge for the bass strings and the other at the neck position and wire it they are both on? Also would the hum be bad, or wouldn't there be any? Sorry to hijack the thread slightly, but i'm interested in all the possible pickup and electronic options.

    Couldn't he have two 4 pole bass pickups and have them covering 4 strings each?

    Yeah, but until then i might actually get a PAF7 and see how that sounds with the D-Sonic7.

    Isn't the Fred the PAF7? EDIT: I didn't know they did a 7 string model of the FRED? Unless this is like a custom one-off?

    I have a couple of Nortons paired with the Evo and i'm just not diggin' it. I have a Blaze Neck which i am going to pair up with the spare Evo i have and see if that sounds any better. I might just get another one of each (air and blaze) and swap them around. I really like a look at the Blaze middle, but i don't have any guitars with a middle pickup >_<

    Man, i knew that would be said. A good neck pickup for 7 string guitars are lacking somewhat =(

    This is kind of a 2 question thing... first off, I'm looking to buy these just to see how they sound compared the the Evo and the Blaze, but i want something that will sound nice in the neck position with them. Also, has anyone tried using an Evolution in the neck position? If so what is the sound like? Cheers!

    I think thats called Sudocrem, but it has lanolin in.

    My favourite guitar is my Ibanez Gio (GRX720). Its just so light and with an Evo in the bridge and an Air Norton in the neck it sounds awesome in all situations. I could easily afford a K7 or the UV777V, but they just wouldn't be the same as this beaut.

    Have you tried what erik has suggested? When i had a crap load of trouble wiring my LP up, i did each part seperately first to make sure it all works.

    Does anyone know where i can get a program where i can turn my drum music into drum tab? I have tried using MusEdit, but i can't save the files. I only want to use it for one song so i can't see the point of spending $80 for it. Any programs or websites out there that will do it for free? Cheers

    Its more like when one goes down another 3 pop up in its place...well it does for torrent sites anyway. I think the music industry is just getting greedy and trying to make a quick buck any way they can. If they keep stopping young artisits they will have no one to represent in years to come.
