  2. Anyone have an Explorer body they don't need or know where i can get one cheapish? I've checked ebay, but nothing there. Want to start a 7 string project. Cheers, Rudder
  3. Congrats to all you guys. I know you will all do a good job.
  4. I've just come into money so...i may have to purchase one of those VOX pedals.
  5. I wouldn't recommend yanking it off...might take some TLC to get it off. You 'might' be able to stick on a fender style strat replacement. I think they have two type, the arched version and the flat version (please correct me if i'm wrong) you will need to know which one you need.
  6. Man...they are sweet...but i can see those being out my price range =(
  7. It shouldn't be too hard to replace. Once you get it off (which might be hard) just try and get a replacement. What guitar are you trying to fix?
  8. What part does the member play? Does he like his action low, etc?
  9. I think its just me...but i prefer the right near the end, but i like being overly weird. =D
  10. Whoa, i actually like that shape! Make it a 7 string, 24 frets with a Lo Pro Edge bridge and i'm sold.
  11. I'm looking for something nice and sweet...something thats sounds like Laney Amp Overdrive, BUT which can also get nice and heavy, BOSS style. Now i only have like £80/$160 to spend...i know this is probably impossible...so, any ideas? Thanks.
  12. Hey thanks...that's one of the things that impressed me most about this forum when I started hanging here a few months back, there are lots of people showing how it's done (and how NOT to do it too!) C ool name...Thoughtless 7...that the name of your band? Meantime, I've got a cool idea that'll take care of the issues with the neck pocket, the sound hole AND the bad glue line...heh heh... ← The man i used to work for told me that "In the mistakes we make, we usually find out how to fix them better and quicker than before" So, i guess making mistakes is good for the ol' learning curve. I can't actually remember where Thoughtless 7 came from atually...lol o_O I have to ask this...Where did the concept of making square guitars come from?
  13. Good work Idch! I think its great how people post their mistakes and not cover them up. Its a learning curve for the rest of us, and it shows we aren't all pros on this forum =D
  14. Thanks man...I've been wondering where to get wood from on this side of the pond!
  15. What are you trying to say about the colour pink? Real men have pink pedals >_>
  16. The question i usually ask are which books people would suggest, and even then its after a search...but sometimes i think the search button doesn't like me o_O
  17. (That game kicked arse!! One of the best games ever.) It looks very sweet man, good job!
  18. You mean the tone and volume knobs? You should just be able to pull them off. Check to make sure they haven't got a screw in the side holding them on, if so, unscrew and pull.
  19. Have you checked down at the body end of the neck incase its that way around? Just a thought.
  20. The link didn't work for me. Does anyone have the PDF's saved for the Distortion pedals?
  21. Hey MikeB that RRV reminds me of the one Paul Gilbert is playing on his website! Looks good man!!
  22. Haha, thanks for the reply man. I think i'll get the cheaper pots, i mean if they were that bad they would of takin them off the market.
  23. Would there be a difference if i say use a no-name brande 500k Pot which costs like £4/$9 instead of a well known 500k Pot which costs like £9/$19? Cos i have a tightish budget and i'm wondering if should should splash out and get the expensive pots and switches or get the lesser known cheaper ones? Whats your views? Thanks.
