  1. I would opt for a 13º Headstock on a tree-piece maple-"hard wood of your choice"-maple neck (no scarf joint, "one-piece" neck (constructed of three pieces, mind-warping, isn't it? )). mullmuzzler | OSSMT
  2. What's a BOLT-IN neck? How is it mounted? Any special techniques, mods...? Is it hard to do this neck type? mullmuzzler | OSSMT
  3. Thanx, jsullysix! Yeah, basically, I need the template of the Iceman (along with the nut dims, scale... I believe it has 22 frets, right!?). I am thinking of using Iceman's headstock shape for my project cause I think that it is very good looking three-per-side variation on the subject (Jackson's shape on the archtop is also nice looking headstock, if you know what I mean). If You could take some pics and post them here or send them to my e-mail, that would be great! What pickups did you put in your Iceman, man? mullmuzzler | OSSMT
  4. It is RG550 maple neck, so I think there is no finish on it. What's "naptha"? mullmuzzler | OSSMT
  5. My favorite bands are: Dream Theater Liquid Tension Experiment Mullmuzzler Explorers Club Pantera Soulfly Meshuggah (those Sweds are really nasty!!! ) Fear Factory but I also like Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton, Joe Pass, John Scofield, Bruce Springsteen... mullmuzzler | OSSMT
  6. Bad Horsie is a wah-wah pedal from Morley, I think. mullmuzzler | OSSMT
  7. Bad Horsie is a wah-wah pedal from Morley, I think. mullmuzzler | OSSMT
  8. I need headstock shape 1:1, and if you have time, body 1:1. I would also like to know thickness of the body, neck dims... Basicly, anything that you can think of. Do you have 'fixed' or 'trem' version? mullmuzzler OSSMT
  9. My maple board is "kinda" dirty (I'll post picture later). Is there any cure for this like cleaning adhesives, sanding or something else? I really don't want to sand or do any other 'physical' treatment to it, but if that's the only way... mullmuzzler | OSSMT
  10. Does anybody have this model or some tech info? I really like the body shape as well as the headstock as intend to use it for something else. So, if you have anything on this subject, post it here! THANX mullmuzzler | OSSMT
  11. I voted for Edge simply because I use this trem 99% of the "trem work" . If I had to choose non-locking trem, well, Wilkinson VS100 is excellent. Also, EBMM JPM's trem is really good; really smooth, silky finish. As far the PRS trem goes, I don't know. I haven't played one with the trem, but I've heard good things about it. mullmuzzler | OSSMT
  12. Nice neck wood! How much was it? mullmuzzler | OSSMT
  13. If it has to be only one, then here it is: Pensa Suhr Mark Knopfler model. mullmuzzler | OSSMT
  14. monkyboy777, THANX for the drawing and dims, man! So, to sum this up: I'll be putting ToneZone 7 & AirNorton 7 in my project ax. They will be direct-mounted. If I understood correctly, dimensions vary from model to model. What about 6-string versions? Do they need deeper routing for the ears? mullmuzzler | OSSMT
  15. Can somebody post exact dimensions for DiMarzio 7 string p-up (ToneZone7 to be exact)? THANX mullmuzzler | OSSMT
  16. Iceman is very nicely odd-shaped ax, especially the headstock. I would like so see it in blueprint also. mullmuzzler | OSSMT
  17. I have DS-1 and it is, as you say, bang for a buck. Mine is dead mint, not a single scratch. A friend of mine bought it for me in Italy 2 years ago. As for the MT-2... I don't know... My friends really like it, but then again... I like its sounds paired with my Ibanez and friend's JCM 800. Really Metallica-like sound from the '91 Black album. Chunky. mullmuzzler | OSSMT
  18. I've had Zoom GFX-707 and it wasn't so bad, not bad at all. In fact, selling it was probably wrong decision but I needed cash for something else. As far as the stomp boxes go, they are useless without a REALLY GOOD amp (and a bunch of other stomp boxes!!!!). The deal I'm getting on V-Amp 2 is little under 220 EUR, so it is not cheap as Zoom, but I reckon it has better sounds, especially for REC purposes, as I intend to use it for that. I've read that it sounds crappy through the front of the amp. Is there a cure for that, or it is "just" a recording tool? BTW, this is my 50th post. Congrats to me (from ME, MYSELF & I)!!! mullmuzzler | OSSMT
  19. Thanx, guys! I'll be ordering the V-Amp 2 in a couple of days. I've tried it on the headphones in the store and it sounded very good. The only thing that bothers me is that the connectors are kinda weak-ish, if you know what I mean. I'll be making cable extensions as soon as I get the gadget. mullmuzzler | OSSMT
  20. I can't wait to see Universe or any other Ibanez template with AANJ!!! Kurt76, you're the man! mullmuzzler | OSSMT
  21. I've read on jemsite.com that regular Floyd Rose type bridge is a lot stiffer than Lo-Pro or the Edge trem system. I have Edge and it covers my needs for trem work. My friends who play guitars other than Ibanez have Floyd originals or clones (Jackson variation on the subject) and their locking trems are way more stiffer (the strength needed for pulling the trem up or droping it down is much greater, but not in terms of getting your biceps pumped up for the task!). Edge is VERY sensitive trem. I don't know; maybe it has to something with the propper trem mass distribution (?!?!?!). mullmuzzler | OSSMT
  22. Is it "flameproof"? mullmuzzler | OSSMT
  23. Thanx, guys! I'll definitely try this! mullmuzzler | OSSMT
