  2. its got a kahler tremolo which are pretty valuable
  3. very nice, im an all black hardware guy though, looking very anyways
  4. not sure about charvels or anything sorry. but i did buy a BC Rich strat with a kahler 2500...you willing to part with the kahler if you buy the guitar? i lost some of the parts and dont want to pay $15+ for some screws
  5. looking nice...sorry if i missed this, but are those stew mac diamond inlays? if so, how big are each of them
  6. if i went headless i would be wasting a kahler
  7. so if i put some thought into all my angles, i could get this done? EDIT: This was meant to be a bass neck so i have alot of wood to spare NOW. so could i angle the top off and then angle another piece of wood to make up the proper angled headstock?
  8. hi, a while back i had a piece of maple that was long enough for the neck part, but no room for the headstock. i carried on making the neck mainly for practice but it ended up turning out really well...can someone suggest a way to put on a headstock? (the neck is rounded also). i was wondering if something like this poorly done drawing will work http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a166/MartyrMetal/neck.jpg
  9. iam looking for a pair of EMG's 81 and a 85. i am in canada so that would be easiest, but i guess anywhere is fine. I can only send money orders. i saw on the shredder someone had a 81 for $55 in perfect condition so iam looking for that price range. thanks
  10. the butt looks like a BCRich wave...i like
  11. my god...that has to be the most wonderful design ive seen yet on this site
  12. i was planning on using stew macs fret finder but something struck me odd (as usual). On the side it says you could be off by as much as a 1/8" by the 12th fret if you use the "fret-to-fret" calculations. I was going to use a digital caliper to get out the proper measurements (ex:7.469"). but if im going to be off by 1/8", i might have to scrap that idea...how would i read decimals in the thousanths on a tape measure?
  13. ever heard of decoupage (sp?). its a method where you take photos from magazines, books, printouts etc and your use spray glue to put them on the guitar then you cover with laquer..do a search on google, lots of old ladies have craft sites that will help
  14. very cool...i didnt even notice the discoloration of the mistake until you pointed it out...should of kept your mouth closed :D looks very cool
  15. i believe front rout kahlers have the springs in the baseplate or similar to that...isnt he asking if you can have a floyd rose without a back rout? if so, i say no. you could cut the block off and mount it some how and lose the trem part?
  16. any chance to see them soon? i need one when my mock is finished
  17. hi, i was wondering if my method will work for routing for my tremolo (kahler 2500). i traced the cavities of the guitar i got the bridge off of and i made templates for both front and back. i noticed one thing that is throwing me off. 1. the top smaller cavitity is obviously not centered to the body for a perfect reason -- the tremolo block is more to the right of the bridge. so would it be 'logical' to stick the bridge in the template, mark the center of the bridge saddles (in my case its right in between the 3rd saddle)? also, whats the best way to make SURE its square? not sure if thats clear or not haha so yeah thanks
  18. that would be perfect for my mockingbird
  19. i used a bandsaw then planed/beltsanded it....not sure if its fine though since one side as a little glue joint on it...could it be better in the middle?
  20. heh i wish i had my own tools instead of bumming them off my school some day ill break down and buy some essential stuff..........but yeah i cant wait to see this done, i know youve been waiting a while
  21. man if only i had $70 or so to spend on a trussrod cover, that is AWESOME!!
  22. looking really good, keep up the good work
  23. i should post what im putting in it... Kahler 2500 trem bridge Black gotoh schaller style 3x3 tuners Pickups im still deciding on...i really like the looks and sound of EMGs but they are kinda expensive so i might put a set of Seymour duncans in (if anyone has cheap EMGs for sale, im all ears) 1 tone and 1 volume knob, 3 way pickup selector switch, and a mini switch which will either be a coil tap or a on/off switch Ebony fretboard with MOP diamonds and jumbo frets bevling the upper and lower wing, not sure if im making a arm rest Staining the top red and the back black like i said, i really want critiques, im really happy with it SO FAR so any oppinions or anything anybody wants to see done differently on it?
  24. thanks. the back (mahogany) is going to be stained black, and im painting the top black.....just kidding, im staining the top red haha id never paint this after the trouble i went through
  25. looking good dude, cant wait to see more
