  1. I was listening to Jason Becker again this morning when i decided to take a trip to his website for the first time in a little while. Reading through his website it reminded me how much he must be suffering not being able to play his guitar. Jason Beckers site I thought that perhaps we should just take this time to recognise the great achivements of this man. Get a copy of perpetual Burn if you want to hear this true guitaring legend. ~ Slain Angel ~
  2. That is what i thought... i presumed the different widths of the neck would alter the size of the trem... Also said.. the nut.. that surely also has to be correct otherwise it is useless? ~~ Slain Angel ~~
  3. It has stock fender pickups... Soooo what size be tht sir? Thanks for your help
  4. I am almost sure that this has probably been asked more then 1000 times but i really didnt understand it so could any of you write an answer in reaaaly easy terms? After a little discussion with some people on here ive decided to go ahead with the purchase of a Floyd Rose... Ive noticed when i went to go buy one on E-bay... it often mentions the string spacing... I dont know which one i need No doubt im being stupid... So... Spose the question is.. Which size string spacing do i need? obviously once i know what size i can also go out and get the locking nut etc but its the string spacing size at the bridge... Thanks for your help ~~ Slain Angel ~~

Yeh seems like a good idea... think i might go get me some dimarzio's Nah i dont like bigsbys dont get me wrong i can understand why people do but i hacve played many a time on a Floyd and i dunno... i just seem to love the way i can abuse them! 8. Unfortuntly my Humbucker does have 2 cables And you say it is possible via modification...Does this include me screaming uncontrolably after 400 Failed attempts of trying? Yeh i noticed 2 that Khlaers seem to be appearing recently on Ebay... hence y i was intrested in the idea! Im gonna go n read through the Trem part u mentioned and get that marked out... If it isnt ** to ** bad would you mind either posting a link or the actual technique required to Coil tap a 2 cabled Humbucker!
  9. I am currently building a guitar (the one in my avatar) and need some suggestions The current set up will be • BODY: Basswood • NECK: Maple, C-Shape, (Polyurethane Finish) • FINGERBOARD: Rosewood • NO. OF FRETS: 24 4 Jumbo • HARDWARE: Black • MACHINE HEADS: Standard Die-Cast Tuners • BRIDGE: Hard Tail – String Through Body • PICKUPS: 1 Humbucker • CONTROLS: Master Volume • OTHER: Monkey grip Now the main questions are... How easy would it be for me to throw the Hard Tail bridge out and put in either a floyd/Khaler or at least a Fender Strat style bridge? Also the pickups... It is a single stock humbucker... How easy would this be for me to split the humbucker so i can use it as a single coil or a humbucker (via a switch i would install) Thanks for your help ~~ Slain Angel ~~
  10. Hmm licensed... Nooooo get a real un'! There much better... me and my friend sitting next to me both agree that a licensed floyd will only cause more problems then its worth Save your money up and get a real floyd ** or ** get a nice Khaler... ~~ Slain Angel ~~

  12. Correct... if the processor in your pc is not up to speed (especially as Guitar rig is Processor intensive) you will lag behind and get annoyig echo... Go and throw a LOT of ram into your pc.. that ** Should ** Help a little... Alternativly get a new pc and make sure it has LOTS of ram and procesisng power... expensive but if your going to do recording via your pc... its needed really... Also a nice soundcard will help... the more frequenceies it supports the better Hope it all helps Slain Angel
  13. Heh this is all well n good for stage placement, however many other things need to be taken into account when recording. Angling amp's does help when recording so that sound does not 'Cross' over between different channels on the mixer. Mic placement is also important, 'room' mics helps a lot but if you mess it up your mix will end up like rubbish Eeee cant wait to start music tech next year eee ~ Slain Angel ~

  18. Ephiphone for a Gibson day, thats an achievement in its own! Ah congrats man, chances of any thing like that happening in this area are next to nothing, although they sold a guitar signed by the Darkness the other day, dont like the darkness but stil had to go admire it Once again congrats man, ~~ Slain Angel ~~
  19. I havent used Mahogany as yet... *hence the stupid question that started this thread lol* BUT i currently own two guitars that use basswood bodys and they do indeed have great sustain. I think after my mahogany project, im going to make another basswood body.. i love em' ~~ Slain Angel ~~

  25. I voted against it but only because i like the orignal LP headstock Saying that im not a big fan of 3 a side anyway... i much prefer a sharp point headstock with 6 on one side... Either way though... Good luck with your project ~ Slain Angel ~
