  1. If your looking for a Fret-board I would suggest posting in the Buy section of the forum, You could probably get one for your 7-String as well. -Stormy
  2. Just wanted to add my input into all of this, I now that the GraphTech Floyd is not a OFR, so I'm not sure of the quality of it. I would do some serious googling about it before I threw done the cash for that. Just my $0.02 -Stormy
  3. If your still making these things by the time I have the money for another guitar I would love to buy one of these things. But who knows when THAT will be. -Stormy
  4. I had thought about the magnets, but I wasn't sure if they would affect the pickups at all or not. If they don't that would really be the way to go I think. -Stormy
  5. Hey y'all. just wanted to update this thread considering I just bought a MFX Unit online today. After lots and lots of researching, and trying out several things, I decided to go with a BOSS GT-10. I can't wait to get it, hope it lives up to all I've read about it. -Stormy
  6. I think that if you had a "plate" of some sorts to cover the top of the "core" that would match the rest of the body, that would be very, very, very cool. I don't think it would be that hard to do, just use threaded inserts on the "core" to make sure that you don't wear\strip out the holes. -Stormy
  7. Sounds like a cool idea, but I would try to have the Pickup switch have a connector as well, I think that would work the best, it would allow you to have different positions for it, IE Les Paul's have it up above the neck, some guitars have it between the knobs, Explorers have it on the lower "horn", etc. Just an Idea. -Stormy
  8. Ok, after getting it together, and no sound, I thought came to me. I don't think it should matter, but would using 1\2 watt resistors kill the signal? -Stormy
  9. Yeah, like when I Iron it, what was originaly was on the left is now on the right, and vise-vera. Thanks for all the help. -Stormy
  10. Ok, just got the rest of the parts from SB today! But I'm beening banging my head on the wall trying to get a decent dang PCB transfer! I also noticed that when I transfer it to the PCB, its backwards from the diagram, so I take it I need to rotate it around? -Stormy
  11. What does the guy want? Personally, I like gloss. -Stormy
  12. SJE: I haven't adjusted intonation, it seemed pretty close, but I was working on getting the tension right. Sand: I also find fast picking is much easier with the heavier strings, I'm guessing because there is more tension, which means the strings can't move out of the way as easily. I currently don't use the trem to much, but everyonce in a while I'll go on sprees of Dive-bombing. -Stormy
  13. Man, that stinks, glad you could fix it! My dad and I did somthing like that once, can't remember what it was one, but it's really not hard to do at all. And I'm sorry, but I just have to get this out of my system: Ok, I'm better. -Stormy
  14. Haha, at first glance I thought the "knobbles" were going to be a finished part of the guitar. Looks great so far! -Stormy
  15. I went ahead and got some .11s, so far I really like them! -Stormy
  16. Oooh, I know, you could make the LEDs light up blimp inlays, then you could have LED Zepplins! : -Stormy
  17. Hahah, I have the same mouse pad laying around here somewhere Looks great! (The guitar that is ) -Stormy
  18. I just made a Trem blocker, then Modified my back plate, so I can block my trem in a second, and un-block it just as fast. XD I'll get pictures up soon! -Stormy
  19. I'll just deal with the floppiness of .10s for now, due to the fact that my guitar has a OFR on it, so swaping out strings gauges isn't as trival as it would normally be. Thanks a ton for all of the options guys, it's really helped -Stormy
  20. Haha, I wish I had the money for another guitar, Heck, I'm still working on getting a decent amp. -Stormy
  21. Thanks for the replys guys. My guitar has a scale lenght of 25 1\2" I would probley be doing Standard E Tuning most of the time, but I do play drop C or Drop B everyonce in a while. I'll talk to some people that use Heavier gauge strings to see if I can try their guitar with them. Once again, thanks for all the replys guys! -Stormy
  22. I need to replace the strings that came with my Electric, but I'm wondering what gauge to get? I'd mostly be playing Metal, so I'm thinking fairly heavy? -Stormy
  23. Looks great John! But what's with the no binding in the lower cutout? -Stormy
  24. Man, this thread just keeps on sustianing! I'm sorry, I just had to pop in here and add that. -Stormy
