  1. Thanks Matt, I agree on the other, I hope you noticed that I apologized to anyone that I offended in the thread. If MIMF members want to use this they are welcome as well to come here and get the info as posted here at PG. If by chance they ask me to post it there I will with the same disclaimer MK
  2. The 335 clone will be a hollow body or chambered with a flat top(not sure which yet). The Artist/LP DC will be chambered and thanks everyone I'm looking forward to getting these done. Each is a challenge in its own way LOL:)) mk I like them that way as well!!!
  3. Not to suggest you won't find your answer here at PG but you might also ask at the Tele Forum. Tele Group just a suggestion. MK
  4. BTW, Just a note: My attorney has advised me to notify everyone that that this Radius jig I have submitted to the PG members is my intellectual Property and is now copyrighted, please do not reproduce any photos or plans other than for personal use. I am hereby giving permission as of 5/15/2007 to PG members to build this radius jig (as is) based on the prototype only, and what documents I produce for PG and its members. The new version will have many modifications that I am currently seeking patent on. Thank you for your understanding on this matter. Mike Kroening Dallas Texas 75234
  5. Thanks Jon, It's from parts, I picked up LOL:)) Just threw it together yesterday. I didn't make the neck or the body for the tele (got a few deals I couldn't pass up.) I will say that setting the neck was a PITA though, the mahogany grain at the neck area was splintering badly, even climb cutting was horrendus and the neck was chewed up as well. LMAO!! It'll make a great banger when someone comes over and wants to play or I might donate it to a charity for auction. Hope it will be finished in the next week other than buffing out. Mostly likely emerald green with black highlites or Black to emerald burst with Gold harware. I know most people don't like gold but what the H!! Happen to have gold tele parts as well. LOL:)) MK
  6. Here's a preview of 3 more I have started, a Double cut Ibanez Artist/LP and Frankentele, a 335 downsized clone MK

  9. Not ot turn you off to PG as you will find a wealth of info but have you tried these sites? http://www.buildyourguitar.com/resources/lapsteel/ http://steelguitarforum.com/ just a suggestion. MK
  10. Well POOH!! I guess then that the cardboard body I planned won't be worth a crap? It's a wood product right? and I was so looking forward to having that cool looking COW pattern from the computer boxes!!! LOL:) MK
  11. I agree that Deft is inferior for guitar work. Works nice for cabinets though. But must be allowed to dry completely. 2 weeks min and only 3 to for good wet coats. Now as far as the water based poly. I have found that most polys require at least 1 day between coats and at max use only 6 coats if brushed or sprayed at medium thickness. The last coat needs to sit at least 2 weeks before finish. Just my .02cents of cabinet making and finish over the past 20 + years personally a good shellac finish is better in my opinion , if it was good enough for Stradivarius it must be good enough for me. LOL:))) MK
  12. First, welcome to PG, you will find this is a great forum with a lot of knowledgable people and most willing to help. That being said. THey will not spoon feed you either. I would suggest that you Please use the search function to answer your questions. after you have exhausted that and are still not sure, then ask your questions based on your knowledge gained from reading the search material or lack of. Again many will be here to help you but you must try and help yourself first. There are many topics on sheilding, as well as wiring schematics. Thanks, and again Welcome to PG. Mike

  16. I was just using the numbers on the questions in the original post when I replied. The number before the answer in my post corresponds to the number of the question asked in the original post. oh yeah well i have a template in case your wondering First off, I'm old, so *** is OFR? please try not to use acronyms here at Project guitar, you may not get all the answers you are looking for, since some may not understand the question. As far as jointing?. It is the process of making one side perpendicular to the adjacent side of reference.. Therefore creating a 90degree angle, so that all sides can be planed and or jointed to create a perfectly flat and perpendicular board with parallel lines on all sides. I hope that makes sense. If not, please contact your geometry instructor and look at a 3D version of a rectangle. This can be accomplished using a jointer, a hand plane( takes a lot of practice), a router table or a well setup Table saw. If you have more questions about this please feel free to PM me. MK

  20. So Perry, you are getting the extra copies for those of us that asked Right? And we will see them when? MIKE I spoke to someone at the publisher, and asked about back issues. They will send them all through later. Very cool Perry, Thanks, I'm waiting to see'em MK
  21. Wes, what type of tape are you using? I use 3m heavyduty cloth double sided carpet tape,( it's thin but works well). if I need more stick. I use turning tape ( woodcraft carries this, about 25$ a roll). This is very strong (if used on a clean surface, no dust)and used for face plate adhesion on lathes and also used for other turning tasks. It's expensive though. alittle goes a long away. MK
