  2. The fretboard is about the same as a strat. Picture is fuzzy but I think you can see it. As far as the heel I would remove more next time around. It Feels good but could be better. LOL:))) MK

  4. I might consider other parts, but I'm really into pickups right now. I've got a set of EMG's I can throw in, but I was hoping for something a little different. So Jo, what's your schedule now that the weather had somewhat cleared up? Give me a call Mike Will do Mike. It's gotta be soon, as Soccer season kicks off on the 17th and doesn't end for a while. I gotcha! see ya soon. mk

  6. as far as sealing just use some wax, cover at least the first 1/2 inch of each end, Remember to heat your wax in a double boiler though, you can paint it on or dip it depending on the size of the end of wood and the receptacle that has the wax. Otherwise spend the $$$ for a good sealer from woodcraft or other similar company. DO NOT USE WATER SEALERS like Thompsons or other comparable products. worst case get some some pruning spray from a landscape dealer. Just my 2 cents, MK
  7. What type of router are you using?. fixed speed or multi? For about $30 you can get a speed controller for a fixed speed router at woodcraft or rockler. Just because the bit is a smaller diameter does not mean you can't slow it down some. I run many 1/2" and smaller bits at around 12000 rpm ( even down to 6000 rpm) when in tight corners so I don't burn the wood. Try it, you might find it will help with your circumstances. Just remember to take less deep passes when you slow it down, so get your cuts closer to your template when possible. Just my 2 cents MK
  8. Let the wood speak for itself, I say if it has streaks then so be it. That's the wood and let it be . if you can enhance it's character through color without taking away the basis of it's self then you've added artistic value. Just my 2 cents. MK
  9. UJ will be missed here, My prayers are with him and his family. sincerely, Mike K
