  1. Tattoo paper from the same site. http://www.decalpaper.com/tattoo.html
  2. My hero...I've been looking for something like that, I just hesitated to ask for fear of the slam section (though I wouldn't know if I was in there, I've only read the first two pages).
  3. Too bad I can't read German...or Swiss....or whatever that is. Is it just like a film applied to give the rainbow effect?
  4. nobody is ever going to type all that But they may copy and paste it.
  5. If it's just for metal, I'd say just put a bridge pup in. It's cheaper (one less pickup to buy), easier (don't have to rout for it, or wire for it), and could look better depending on who you ask. Personally I like the symmetry of more than one pup, or not having ay at all (piezo). Piezo is hardly for metal though.
  6. I'd say just inlay something that contrasts with the wood...maybe maple.
  7. I'm no finishing expert, but did you ever think of this. After the wood is sealed and grain filled (if needed), spray your base color with as many layers as usual. Let it dry, then spray a few clear coats. Sand that out tape off for the stripes, and spray the stripes over the clear. That way there's not much chance of messing up the base color with the tape. Finish the job as normal after that.
  8. Let's all hope that Wes's wife doesn't ever read the forum.
  9. That bocote is stunning...I might have to look at getting some. What's the price like relative to other woods (lazy night, and it's getting late)?
  10. Well....the more I look at them, the more I like them both. You must use that alot, cause it's practically seamless to me
  11. Never heard of that book...another to add to my list :-/. This thing is getting really long.
  12. You messed up that car man...I really do think it looked better before though . What kinda dealership you work at?
  13. cough....dial up...cough. I guess if I really wanted to go that rout I could go to one of my friends' house download it and burn it on a CD...I actually did look for it on KazaA yesterday before I posted that, and they were both over 100 megs....that would take me hours...If I could find one that went a decent speed (mind you it's dial up, so the fastest I go is around6.5 kb/s). Anyway, what is the software like? I was figuring it was just CAD, but for that much...Also, must have quite a learning curve (I don't guess that's really a big deal though).
  14. http://projectguitar.ibforums.com/index.ph...?showtopic=3815 Look towards the bottom. The reason I'm doing this is to come up with a good way to make a fretless. The good thing about 20 dollar guitars is that it doesn't matter if you screw them up.
  15. BAHAHAHHAA.....the last thing we need is another Ed Roman fight.
  16. It's mostly just for practice veneering...I might not even do the body, just the fingerboard. I need to have something on the fingerboard to finish and for it to look decent so I don't tear up the wood while playing.
  17. I don't think I need to add anything, you get the idea. When you make up your mind there are probably gonna be a lot of takers. How much are you willing to pay?
  18. Oh yeah, I forgot to say. I use gorilla snot, and it really helps picks to stay in your hand, but forget fingerpicking for the rest of the show, because of the gunk on your hands. Also, your have to be sure the pick doesn't turn, and be conservative with the gorilla snot, or the pick sticks to the strings.
  19. I have the same problem when I play at high distortion. Bleed off as much of the highs as you can with the tone pot (if you don't have one it'll definitely help). If you're still having problems changing the cap with help too. I'm gonna try lowering the pups and see if that helps mine even more.
  20. How much do those programs cost, and how easy is it to learn how to use them?
  21. YIKES !!!!! Why the ummm...different color choice?
  22. it's different for each guitar...for my gigging guitar, I use Elixirs, so I change them once every six weeks...If I have many with my electric, then I change them once ever week or two.
