  1. I'd only heard good stuff about them until this forum. I've heard a few people say they had some problems with Reranch here. I'm still trying to decide whether to order their translucent blue aresol. I think I'll go for it, just gotta scrape the money together.
  2. Ha...maybe someone from eBay read the post about us suing...lol. That would explain the action.
  3. oops....I thought you were talking about something different cause of the question. I was picturing freaky weird guitar shape....lol...yeah I've seen those...thanks for the pics though
  4. Or you could always do what you're trying to avoid. Strip the guitar, then seal and refinish.
  5. I wanna know the same thing. The only review I've read was in Musicians Friend, and they obviously always give good reviews.
  6. ummm....don't know what it looks like. Anybody wanna post some pics?
  7. Stewmac Seriously, just find more stuff you need and Stewmac is the best place to go...Other than that, most warehouse hardware stores have what you need (i.e. Lowes, Ace, Home Depot). Maybe those are only in the US though. Not sure. Anyway, they must have something similar over there...ask someone that works there. They get paid to help you anyway
  8. In my experience with 12-strings (all acoustic), the neck is much wider and thicker. I think it'd be just as easy to make your own nut if you already have the files.
  9. Or if it's solid you may have to refinish to get it to look good. I always go the hard way anyhow. If it's a laquer stain, you're gonna have fun matching it. Also, if it's a dent instead of a chip, you might want to try steaming it out...just get a rag wet, and then use an iron to make the wood swell. the sand and reseal, paint, and clear (if all are applicable).
  10. is it just me or does this make no sense?
  11. I think that you shouldn't just go asking questions like that---Some people are very sensitive about answering questions like that...From now on there should be a "prefer not to disclose" option on all threads :-P
  12. Aren't there already some threads like this one?
  13. I haven't had much experience with LP knobs (just my one guitar), but with mine the knobs pulled right off...I had to take 'em off cause the numbers were like off my 3. I'm guessing they'll come off when I change the pots too :rolleyes
  14. With red filler. I would probably just seal, then flat black, then scrape (0000 might be too soft no?), then fill.
  15. "For the money, there's nothing better available." No kidding...that's because there's only like two more guitars like those on the face of the planet. Dude...that's like a dinner for 5.
  16. That'd be sorta like a slide on design wouldn't it?
  17. And it even looks like it was vintage :-O
  18. The only bolt-on I have has overhang.
  19. Finally!! I know what it costs....now how the heck to I sign up?
  20. If you just clean the pots it might get rid of the crackling.
  21. I think most people here build their guitars to keep.
  22. Maybe I'm just dumb, but could someone explain what he's talking about...I'm lost. heh
  23. Yeah...preferably turn the steam function on if you have one...if not....buy one that does .
