  1. Taking this question to PM for Perry personally is about respect. But you really fail to see that. If you where in real life and you saw perry with a group of people would you scream out this question for everyone to hear? Because that is what you basically just did. Probally not, but since you have the safety of your computer you think its ok. Just my 2 cents.
  2. Prepare to drop some serious cash then....
  3. You may be able to get away with a 1 3/8" body, that will leave you with approximately 5/8" after a 3/4" pickup route. As far as the tone I don’t really know.
  4. Why not just do it the correct way and get an airbrush, practice for a while and before you know you will be able to accomplish a graphic like the snake skin?
  5. Talk about over reactions! To begin with, I think Algee stepped out of line in the first place, there is absouletely no point in bringing something like that up unless you are trying to get a rise out of some one, good job you did. Its too bad Dino had to follow it up with childish crap aswell. As far as the book issue goes, I think "GodBleesTexas" said it best... I guess you can give praise to certain methods/books but cant even mention others. Now that is hypocritical. Just my 2 cents. Nice guitar Dino.
  6. Oh man..... too many fingers near Uranus could get messy!
  7. If you need any hosting, I can host pics for you no problem.
  8. If you can press the string behind a locking nut & it effects the tuning then the it is either not tight enough or it is slipping and possibly may need to be replaced.
  9. Here, I will finishing smashing your dreams, like setch said, trans white over a figured maple top will look like crap, or at least be a waste of the top.
  10. Id check the trem springs & possibly replace them.
  11. Did you get this guitar used? If you did looks like some one has put a shim in there, but that is WAY too drastic though. What kind of bridge is on this guitar? Is it set up correctly? How is the action & how does it play? Take another pic and include the bridge...lets see it all.
  12. Best advice any one could give; 1. Post in the correct forum 2. Read this entire forum & the main site before asking 1 single question. 3. Utilize the search feature
  13. Adam.....come one now. Have you drawn out your guitar 100% full to scale yet? By looking at this template you are going to make I would say no you havent. SOOOOO.... DRAW YOUR GUITAR OUT. Good luck to you.
  14. Well, its a bit up to you. You have to know what is the height of the heel. How far will the neck stick out of the top of the body? These are all measurements that you have to do yourself. Not all guitars have the same measurements.
  15. Adam.....I just told you how to fix this, so did idch. Do you not understand what I said? Take a router and a template and make the neck pocket even, flat, & perfectly square etc. THEN take another piece of mahogany and shape it so it is an exact fit for the neck pocket, leave it a bit snug. Glue it in, clamp it and let the glue dry. Now take a template for a neck pocket, using your router, route out the new neck pocket. Is there something that you do not understand about this procedure?
  16. Welcome fuzz....search button is a virtual cornucopia of information. http://projectguitar.ibforums.com/index.ph...pic=9113&st=135 I’m sure you don’t have a template so.....measure your scale of your neck, mark where the bridge should sit. Using the bridge as a template mark the holes on the body. Using a drill press or very carefully using a hand drill pre drill the holes. Attach bridge. Done!
  17. You couldnt post this question in the thread you allready have about gibson and your guitar?
  18. Come on! use common sense! Clean out the neck pocket and make it even using your router.
  19. I would make sure the pocket is all square. Take a piece of mahogany (looks like the body is mahogany) and shape it to fill the cavity perfectly. I would have to see it up close but I may also route the neck pick up out and fill aswell. Glue it up, clamp it and let it dry. Then I would take my router and a template and reroute the pickup and neck pocket. Good as new.
  20. Matt!! Killer guitar man!!!! but lousy photos!! Hhahahahaha You got more background that you do guitar! And you cut the headstock off in almost all of the pics!
  21. Holy crap! What the hell happened there? If you want to save I would just completely fill it and reroute.
