OK i have a 3 piece ibanez RG 470 body. It was striped back by someone and now i am going to paint it. I am using nitro black satin and i will give it a clear gloss top coat. It was my birthday on sunday so i got a new spray gun... goodie.. New Gun I taped of the sides for the natural binding look. while i was spraying the tape started to come of!!!!!! and this is the end result! Opps Ibanez Ok i have to fix this some how. I might tape of the areas around where the binding is meant to be and sand the black back. Would this be the way to do it? Input and ideas would be appreciated. Cheers

Ok Guys. I wedged the crack open and put some CA glue in there. Then i clamped it. It turned out perfect. And it has been a couple of months since i did it and no problems so far. Cheers for all your help!

Acousticraft, the brass nut thing adds alittle brightness but it also depends what type of pickups you are using. I have heard good things about brass nut adding sustain and i know a builder in New Plymouth who uses them and says they are good. Just try one out and see what happens. Cheers

thanks crafty The magnetic pickups still work when i switch it to blend mode. Oh well i better find a new pre amp. The bridge is a modifed wilkinson v100 trem. They are awesome trems. It has fishman piezo saddles. Cheers

Ok guys. I just got this guitar in. what a mess it was. broken headstock. A big chip in the back and the fret were a mess.... I fixed that all and strung her up. Cool guitar sounds ok. But the Fishman Active Piezo System doesnt work. I flick the switch and nothing.............. Help. Is there anyway to not whats gone wrong. I have looked for lose wires etc nothing i cant find anything... I dont know much about repairing piezos. Cheers

Just what i am looking for. ""The Ash body has ben sealed with one coat of Liquid Gloss epoxy but needs to be sanded back once it cures."" How do you find the Liquid Gloss epoxy? I have a bottle of it ready to be used on my PRS hollow body... Is it easy to use? and easy to work with. Where did you get the aluminium from? Awesome jig. Cheers

If you have a humbucker on had, measure that with the on your template. I am sure you will find a difference. Cheers
