  1. I thought Rusty Cooley was only 5' 5". How big of hands could he possibly have at that height?
  2. When Paul Stanley started to be endorsed by Washburn they had to make him a new guitar. Paul Stanley plays and has played the Iceman for years so, when they designed it they designed it after the iceman.
  3. sand it to a usable, flat surface and you can paint right over it.
  4. Hahahaha. "5.21% of total forum posts" I think I am up to .45% or something.
  5. Wes, do you really have nearly 16,000 posts? That doesn't seem possible.
  6. Some people like a certain continuity in designs. I as you already know, think the body looks good as is. Parkers upper horn is parallel to its lower horn, That basses two horns have the same shape pretty much. A tele is symmetrical until the lower cutaway is removed as is a Les Paul. They all just have this symmetrical think going on. Yours does not and some people don't like it. i like the switch up and originality of it.
  7. http://parkerguitars.com/code/models/model..._pm10_intro.asp This is the one I was talking about.
  8. You conform this instant! You know what this reminds me of? You know how they took the parker fly (actually nitefly) shape and made it look like a tele? This looks like you've taken the other parker shape and made it into a tele. I still say stick with the original design.
  9. First of all I love the shape and personally I would prefer that over any telecaster any day. It is much more interesting to look at. That said, something with the shape of the pickguard just isn't sitting right with me. I think it should flow more with the lower part of the body but, I don't know how you would do that with the raised section in the middle. I don't know, just my two cents. Great design though.
  10. Rest In Peace, LoveKraft. I and Project Guitar as a whole will miss you greatly.
  11. As in Hollywood, the original is always best. The sequels are okay, have their own little parts but never as good as the original.
  12. I like the fade to black on the fretboard, but how would you do that?
  13. You know it is kind of funny, That scoop at the end of the fretboard on your 8 string is slightly modified from my "bat wing" scoop at the end of the fretboard for my concept of WarriorofMetal's 7 string "Dragon Rider". I took the scoop idea from CanuckBrian's 8 string. So unintentionally you modified it from what I modified it to, to what it was originally, and they are both 8 strings. Odd, funny, ironic, synonym... And caught up in my rant..... I forgot to say anything of your mock up. It looks great, i think that scoop in the fretboard really works for the design. A good counter-point (forgive the pun) to the lower point. Hard shape to match the headstock with but the one you have on there doesn't look as out of place as I thought it would.
  14. For the price that that ESP Urban Camo neck through costs you could probably get the (better) Ormsby version. Wes, I forget were you here for that build? If not I suggest you look at it, still one of my favorites Ormsby has put through here.
  15. .... And those two poles.... It is true string tension hold DOWN the bridge but it does not hold it in place. A floating bridge refers to a Floyd Rose-esque tremolo system in which it is free floating apart from the studs. The bridge you are talking about is called a "tuneomatic" referred to as "TOM"'s on this board.
  16. Yeah, i was going to say, my Home Depot doesn't carry maple.
  17. Open palm slap yourself on the forehead, slide your hand around the side of your head and when you get to the back push your hand forward until it reaches your forehead again.
  18. I can't give you names, but I'm nearly positive they practice voodoo.
  19. I couldn't do it but now I can with only my right hand. I have the 3rd Rock salute mastered though. Go figure.
  20. Somebody here had a Grizzly kit they were working on. I remember looking at the progress pictures.
  21. Wait, it's 300 dollars for one of those!?
  22. I've never heard of a 25.1" scale. Where did you hear is was that length, my money lies on 25.5".
