  1. VOX deacy? No idea..the vox and the deacy were two completely different amps. slightly o/t, but have you checked out the ROG May Queen pedal? http://runoffgroove.com/mayqueen.html appears to be a hugely simple build and should help contribute towards the tone somewhat
  2. i have no idea whats used in crossroads, but DGDGBd works pretty well
  3. http://tinyurl.com/ysm72s would be cool. and afaik tom morello uses a standard type switch, i think it may be buckethead who uses a push button.
  4. http://projectguitar.ibforums.com/index.ph...=25285&st=0 amongst many others. hows your foxtrot?
  5. the showmaster is wider at the nut by 0.01" but seriously...you're really not helping yourself here.
  6. http://www.geofex.com/Article_Folders/pots...ts/potscret.htm read that, you can more often than not refurbish dead pots
  7. http://www.projectguitar.com/tut/logo.htm there it is and the rest of the tutorials are here - http://www.projectguitar.com/menu/tutorial.htm
  8. cuts out a lot of the frequencies and makes it sound like you're playing through a broken speaker....very lofi.
  9. build a lofo-mofo http://aronnelson.com/gallery/albums/album...foMofo_Vero.jpg
  10. i can host, forever and ever, no download limits or anything.
  11. cool idea! personally, i like my pedals to have some weight to them, stops them moving about [makes em hard to find in the dark ]
  12. Usually manufacturers of pots/switches/everything-in-the-world-ever have diagrams with dimensions on their sites.
  13. do you mean the matt bellamy one with the KAOSS pad?
  14. for that guitar, personally i would move the pickup selector switch to in between the volume/tone knobs (personally i prefer it there...but its all down to preference) and then mount a threeway killswitch on the upper horn (ON/OFF/ON - so if it gets accidentally knocked, it doesnt cut out the sound for more than an unnoticable split-second) so then you'd have: 1- only one body modification (a hole between the pots, and there should be room there for the switch in the cavity) 2 - doesn't look like a cheap little switch, as it would *look* exactly the same as the current setup pickup selector. anywho, just my $0.02 edit:- my computer should turn itself off when i've been up since 430am just realised that my reply has very little to do with the topic.
  15. thats cool....you could be like The Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players
  16. Converting a Ibanez RG into a Jem Style Guitar
  17. i think it'd be great to see a wiki for this subject...my fingers are itching to make one of these, but the sheer volume of information makes it somewhat threatening
  18. correct me if im wrong...but the LDR would work opposite to that, with the volume rising as you cover it.
  19. The main reason that people dont distribute this information freely is because someone, somewhere will always sell work which isn't their own. Look at what happened a while ago, a load of freely available tutorials went up for sale on ebay.
  20. my guess would be that your volume pot is wired incorrectly. i'd try to give reasons, but i've been up since 230am
  21. i also believe there is a plugin for winamp that you can use to adjust the speed of tracks (it also has pitch control so that you can correct the pitch after altering the speed) edit: here it is: http://www.winamp.com/plugins/details.php?id=135991
  22. theres a part of me thats certain that the "I" on the tailpiece is from an old ibanez logo.....or am i making that up?
  23. it may sound crazy...but have you looked at beading websites (for jewellers) ? i noticed some that are fairly close - unless you're strictly wanting real guitar ball-ends for mojo factor
