    dont sand the sealer!!! Its a veneer for crying out loud, and the sealer is spread through. USe some fruity acid thingy they mentioned on the mattocaster.

    verhoevenc, when are you going to thailand. Are you? Cos if you do and purchase that custom you ordered, then you must make a soundtrack and show pics of the shop and guitar itself.

    Don't you agree that songs with lyrics and a story should only go on for approx. 3 minutes? I mean people like mozart and john petrucci go on for 9 or 10 minutes.

    HAha the listing is taken out....so shortly? The aution just ended recently.. maybe the admin guys found out. But overall the gretsch duo jet is a killer. If i could afford then the gretsch would be on my top 10. I heard the pro jet electomatic is gd and is cheap ass too. DOes anyone really know what its like? Cos they dont have them in HK. Just it a bad reputation. I mean but, the bigsby alone can set you up for a mere 100. so what would a guitar with mahog neck+body, gretsch filterons, and jet inlays, carve top have such a gd value?

    I personally use Ableton Live 5.1. After comparing with protools and Sonar products, I have an overall winning conclusion of cheap, aesthically attractive interface,easy to use and good quality sounds. But to have free decent is almost impossible unless you download from somewhere like Limewire. Hope it helps. Ash HK

    How long has the guiarist been playing? Not to insult by the fact that I am christian too, but is he meant to lose the rythm? Or maybe I am not used to metal. But overall, cool. But that is not an exellent. I would seriously recommend that if you guys are going to record a decent sound, do one track and a time so you can layer and edit them individually. Just tiny tweaks and changes makes the whole thing sound a lot better. Not forgetting about supercharging your fingers. Here are some tracks my friend did a while back. He only used guitarport and a eric clapton strat. He had only played for 5 years at that time, but just to prove that a little time spending to adjust sounds makes a big difference. P.S.     Personally, I think Green Day is just a bunch of lunatics who got lucky and managed to get famous for no random reason!! They are skilless at guitar, drums, vocals and at make-up . Yer, what is it that people love about them that unheard bands nowadays dont have? My $0.02 eh.. Ash HK

    This i probrably not linked to what all you guys are saying, but it is still conserning the black ice. As you know, there is a tutorial of the black ice on pg.com that is ez as pie. 2 diodes neg-pos, pos-neg grounded, you know which one. Not bothered with the link, but anyways I was wondering if it is possible to use 1N4148 instead of the recommeneded ones they suggested. Its becos I want to try it out quite and those are the only ones I have spare left over from my TS-808 project. Are there any retrictions, or should I give it a try?
