    Actually, I bought an RG off ebay too, was planning on converting it to a JEM using the super helpful projectguitar tutorials. And, for those of you who thought otherwise, I wasn't actually looking for the lizard pattern, i was more looking for something along the lines or the JEM77FP, as seen here.

    Check a music store in your area, lots of them, around me at least, have a luthier that builds guitars exclusively for their store. Go in and talk to him, he can probably help you out. Aaron

    Yea, i tried coffee and tea, didn't exactly help, what I found worked the best was rubbing your fingers on a bbq grill (not while its on ) and then jest rub it on the pickguard/pickup covers, the problem is, it is really easy to just wipe off, I've been trying lots of things, just gotta figure out how to make the stuff stay on.     Here is what I was thinking, The back piece of body wood, would be routed out, except for one piece coming up through even the top piece to mount the bridge on, then all of the controls and electronics would be mounted on the top piece of wood, making it like a pickguard, easy to remove for modifications, repair etc...this keeps sounding better and better!     Does this mean that the tastiest crayon award will be handed out annualy(spelled wrong i know)? That would be kinda of cool, it could be......uh.....i dunno, just cool. Aaron

    Wow, thats an awesome idea....although, I too am kinda skeptical about the tone it would produce.....I think I'm gonna have to try that. Actually, just thought of this now, wouldn't doing this have the same effect as a bolt-on neck vs. set-in? This is making a lot more sense now, I think it would look cool too! Aaron P.S. great idea!

    Do 'Fargey's paint and wall coverings' have a website? I'm having the same problem as thermo, with Stew-Mac not shipping their spray lacquer out of the country. Aaron

    Does anybody have a late 60s "big" headstock decal? I just bought a squier strat that I am relicing and sanded off the squier decal... Thanks, Aaron

    Honduran Mahogany is used often in necks, most Les Pauls have honduran mahogany necks...as do, well, most gibsons... Aaron
