  1. Welcome aboard. We did a hidden bolt on about 2 years ago and found that while it looks like a set neck, it was just as easy to glue it in. I have not seen the BcRich version as they do not show pictures on their website, however it would interesting to see how they did it.
  2. You might have luck by posting your questions here.
  3. Hi All, up for sale, one used Line6 HD147 amp head. It has some scratches on the chrome and logo but otherwise is defect free. This amp is overkill for our purposes so we are selling it - $575 + shipping. This is a current model selling for about $1250 new. This amp does it all from clean to mean, sweet to heavy. Email us (sales@mammothguitars.com) for questions.
  4. J, I have a Bravo schematic if you are so inclinded to troubleshoot with a scope.
  5. Peavey Bravo does not have a standby mode, just on/off. Its probably a tube, there is not much in those things. There is a couple of opamps for the reverb tank and 5 tubes.
  6. Dave, I think the overall shape is fine. The neck is set a bit far into the body if you want access to the upper frets. Reminds me of the new Micheal Kelly Valor which has nearly impossible upper fret access.
  7. Quick and dirty method - With something simple like a loose strap button or pickup ring, put a drop of glue on a toothpick, insert and break off at the top of the hole. After it dries you can usually just put the screw back in without drilling.
  8. No. Not all pots are created equal. Some are smooth turning, some are not. Some are scratchy sounding, some are quiet. Some have have coarse knurled split shafts, some have fine and some have a solid shaft. Generally CTS are considered the best and those have a fine knurled split shaft. Many imports are very good as well and typically have a coarse knurled split shaft.
  9. Probably anodized. Just take some 320 sandpaper and scuff them up and the solder will stick.
  10. Measure the pickup resistance and verify if its correct. The coil could be slightly shorted.
  11. Hey Robert, thanks. The Touchstone semi-hollow is unique internally and externally. We have a triple pickup black w/gold hardware version that will be featured next week.
  12. http://www.mammothguitars.com/clearance.php All necks fit standard Strat neck pocket.
  13. Drill a new hole, solder a long wire to the bridge insert, place the wire through the hole, press in the insert, solder the wire to the main grounding point and finish assembly.
  14. At the risk of taking this a bit off topic, how can you sell a made in the USA guitar for $600?
  15. I bet if you send the serial number to them they can tell you what finish material is on that guitar. They are very meticulous.
  16. Can you drill a new ground wire hole?
  17. I will second that Mike...45 minutes for each sand and coat...3-4 hours to flat sand and 3-4 hours to buff. That's about 20 hours for lacquer and 14 for cat poly .
  18. A radius block size should be matched up with the radius of the fretboard. If the fretboard is not already radiused then you will need to choose what radius you want and buy that block size. Like Nitefly stated those pre-bent frets will work with most any fretboard radius. When you hammer or press in the frets they will shape to the radius of the fretboard. They are pre-bent to make them easier to install, not to make them specific to a radius. Get a fret hammer at the same time you get the radius block.
