vladdrac
Hi Everyone.. i started this project 6 month ago.. you can see it here.. http://projectguitar.ibforums.com/index.ph...&hl=yamaha&st=0 but after runnign in some troubles with poly clear..i decided to star over again..for the third time So i pick another fabric.. and this is the result.. the clear coat was done with a laquer... the pup´s are A Paevy Vanderberg in the bridge and a Paf in the neck. The black back of the neck is original for this RGX110.. i´m very happy with the result.. So,... what do you people think?
Wademeister
Cool! Quite an original idea. At least I never heard of it. Very well done too, looks really nice!
Dr. Jabsco
I like it a lot. Very good look, I especially like the black laqured neck. Does it feel fast (as in, is the back of the neck stickyish)? The only thing I dislike is are the yellow PUP covers! Ive never liked funky lookin pups, but thats only my opnion. great job

Mike Doyle
Damn...well done. I'm gonna do a pattern top on a beater project guitar eventually as well. I love that guitar, and I especially love the green jungle one Brian does in the tutorial. I'm suprised more people don't give this a shot...it sounds like a cheap idea, but the top is UNIQUE and looks extremely professional to me
killahworm
The only thing I dislike is are the yellow PUP covers! Normally I would agree, but on this guitar they really matched.
Bigtommyb
very kool! i really like it shame that it took you 3 attempts but i think it was worth it! cuz i prefer this fabric to the last 1... BigT
vladdrac
thank you all you people..i´m very happy that everybody like it.. well, about the fast neck..well i would said that the "Fast" is in the hands the yamaha neck of this guitar is pretty good just a little thicker than a Wizard, i would said is like a Jem..but not the shape of the jem.. It feel like any other neck with laquer on it..i really prefer the natural neck of my BSB, is the best feel i ever have..i´m gonna do the same to my Jemminaze RG550.. It suppose to be Fabric in the back too, but... again... i messed it..so i took off the fabrick an finished in plain Black.. the yellow/black pup was meant for the original project..but after that, i look for a fabric in which i could use them too and i think they look pretty cool Brian, really big thanks to you for the amazin totorial Bigtommyb, i agree, now i like this more than the first one.. cheers

a bicycle made of anarchy
looks fan-freakin'-tastic! how much did it end up costing you? looks so good.
vladdrac
Hi, well if you do it right from the begining you should not expend more than $30 here.. but since i screwed it a few times i expended about $70.. i suposse you are talking about the finish alone...if you add the pups and the OFR..i will cost you a lot more.. thanks for your coment.. cheers
Dragyn
Very nicely done. The positioning of the fabric cutout makes it look very natural!!! Many props to you! Dragyn
