God tell me about it no mater how many guitar designs I can "FART" out I still cant come up with a realy deadly headstock design dont dye the purpleheart black. watever u do its gonna look sweet. you got great ideas. go canada Ya I dont think I can do that to this wood but who knows maybe someday down the line I will give it a try! deadmike Posted January 19, 2005 Report Share Posted January 19, 2005 matt, my headstock came out... ok, it needs a lot of tlc after i lopped a massive piece of it off. pictures on my project site tomorrow night. theres been a few suggestions about what you should do with it like skulls and writing. i couldnt see that on the impaler, the shape is all the design it needs, cluttering it up with logo's and symbols would spoil it i reckon. why not do a triangle headstock like you suggested and router the edges like the lower horn, i think that would be excellent and pretty unique, i havent seen many (if at all) headstocks with routered edges. it would keep the headstock fitting with the guitar. just my thoughts Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Thanks!! It is purpleheart but I hate the weak color of this one piece, I have never had purpleheart that would just not turn purple so Iam going to dye the whole guitar a deeper darker purple. And a small update I glued on the new maple the the headstock and it's drying right now but I cant get my pic's to work But the new headstock will be this one !!METAL MATT!! Posted February 1, 2005 Author Report Share Posted February 1, 2005 Oh man Iam sure Glad that this IMPALER is just a learing experience for the 8-string I just drilled out the holes for the string thru and DAM IT I realy FU$#@ED that one up but I think I can pull it back from the edge of Obliveon, this is the first time That I have ever done so badly on a string thru for the next IMPALER I know what two do and what not to do !!METAL MATT!!
