rhoads56
Sorry, i figured from your username, you were an experienced luthier, here to help US. Maybe you should change your name so its not misleading.
westhemann
the grain runs all the way through the wood...no amount of sanding will take it away... level sand it with 100 grit, then gradually work up to 320 grit or so

jay5
I think it may be wise for Brian or Kevan to add some sort of rule stating that user names should not include "guitars" or "custom this/that" unless you are an established builder and can prove it. Xebryus has never in any of his posts that I have read tried to come across as anything more than an amature but for those of us who have been around for a while will remember the issues things like this have brought up. Might be a good idea. Sorry to hijack your thread Xebryus.
xebryusguitars
yeah you guys are right, but this isnt even my name, this is my best friends company name, I didnt mean to rain on your guys parade. and maybe you probably think its misleading I have the whole donated tag too...im sorry i donated money? Well so how can i change my name? k.
skibum5545
PM Brian about a name change. You can sand the wood; the roughness will even out. DON'T plane it, as it will only worsen the tearout.
