andyruney Posted January 15, 2005 Report Posted January 15, 2005 I'd like to buy a body to start a project, but I've only seen some expensive sites. Does anyone know some good inexpensive sites? (I'm looking for a place that sells bodies other than just fender styles.) Quote
Devon Headen Posted January 16, 2005 Report Posted January 16, 2005 If you can find them cheap they'll suck. When it comes to guitars, well when it comes to most anything, you get what you pay for. Quote
Jivin Posted January 16, 2005 Report Posted January 16, 2005 http://instruments.listings.ebay.com/Parts...ListingItemList All of the other sites I can recommend would only be fender styles otherwise, check out http://www.edromanguitars.com/parts/bodyblanks.htm - Dan Quote
westhemann Posted January 16, 2005 Report Posted January 16, 2005 well there IS the pinned topic in the classified section where the guy will cnc anything he has the program for,or anything you have a program for Quote
guitar_slingr Posted January 16, 2005 Report Posted January 16, 2005 you can find PRS and Les Paul kits from Saga. The bodies and necks are decent for first projects and you can upgrade the hardware if you want better quality. Quote
westhemann Posted January 16, 2005 Report Posted January 16, 2005 someone posted a link to grizzly not too long ago with les paul and prs kits which LOOKED to be quality... http://www.grizzly.com/products/item.cfm?i...iewtype=images& side note...i sure could use one of these http://www.grizzly.com/products/category.c...48&site=grizzly Quote
Meegs666 Posted January 16, 2005 Report Posted January 16, 2005 so someone said ed roman, but no one said warmoth.com, they may be pretty expensive but they are pretty high quality and you can add any option you want. is building the body yourself completely out of the question??? Quote
slayer63636 Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 you best bet to buy a used one is ebay. its all about looking at the right time, i onced paseed up the chance to buy a SG copy bass for $25 bucks. the seller said that the only thing wrong with it was that it needed a pickguard and some strings.
