Strange Fruit
Well, the wood has been sitting round for a while, so heres an in progress shot or two. Finally cut the body today. And before you guys say anything, yea i know the cavities are a little bit sloppy, and that there is a visible glue joint, but they will all be hidden soon! Any way, the pics: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v132/str...ar/SV400047.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v132/str...ar/68b06510.jpg Oh yeah, and you might notice that i havent cut the heel yet. This is because the neck isnt finished (yet! 2 weeks tops!). It will be cut to size then. Matt

Bill-Murray
How did you glue that top on, and as mentioned how are you going to fix it?? Are the 2 top pieces flush?? Maybe you shoulda planed it down a little before routing the humbucker routes?? Nice wood, looks pretty cool.
Strange Fruit
Hi there. The joint just didnt match up along the joint line. Im going to hide the joint with a central binding, like on the PRS Santana model. And yeah, it is a Lacewood top. Matt

Devon Headen
Won't the cutaways be really wide once you cut that down to size?
Bill-Murray
Naw, I don't think so. Look at them now, they're tiny. That guy who said the thing about art is a wise man.
