westhemann
hey wes, how 'hardcore' into metal are you exactly? you might like a band called psycroptic they're absolutely insane! i like it all.everything from old metallica to deicide to morbid angel.i prefer intelligent metal though which is why i like slayer so much. yeah as far as jackson goes it's all a matter of preference.the reason i don't play jackson has nothing to do with quality it has to do with what feels right in my hands.but jackson has their crap too.this one for example same low end trem unit ,crap wood, and cheesy pickups that low end guitars of every brand have. the third eye
check out psycroptic they've got 2 albums out, the latest is AWESOME!! it should be easy to buy over the net, if it's not locally attainable they actually live in the same city i do, the drummer and guitarists dad tought me in high school, and my bands drummer is good friends with them and got lessons from the drummer in fact i'm pretty sure the snare used on the latest album actually belongs to my drummer! the guitarist and drummer(brothers) are what makes it, their skills are un****inbeleivable!!!!! move over vinny and dimebag!!!! westhemann
listening to it right now.not bad.very intelligent guitar riffing.i think the guitarist would make a good james murphy type solo artist.the vocals are stepping all over his guitar.i want to do death metal instrumentals personally. F1sh
most low end guitars for all big companies are made at the samick factory in korea. I know squire and epiphones are.
Alchool
It was obvious that we were talking of high-end guitars. The point was that a Jackson U.S.A. Select is better than a Jem IMHO. Yeah, Friedman's using ibanez... that man went nut when he recorded Risk...
the third eye
whereas i'd take the jem......everyone's different
john
I completely agree... I think I've hated fenders pretty much all my life LGM. Its very liberating to destroy them. I think fender should build all there guitars like this!!!!! You guys forced me to go to a local music store and ritually burn their entire Ibanez stock!!! Wht yes, thats.... thats a good idea! burn Ibanez`s!!!!

Yeah, Friedman's using ibanez... that man went nut when he recorded Risk... A: I'd take the Jem in a heartbeat (just IMO) B: I don't think Marty had a whole lot of say in that album, knowing Dave. If you see the booklet, it's the only Megadeth's album where he's the co-writer of all songs. And even according to Dave. Hey, btw, did you hear Friedman's Music for Speeding?
