I found the link by accident, was trying to find out some information on getting a certain tone, didn't find it, but found that link. I thought it was definitely worth posting on PG, glad you guys found it interesting enough to read. I had no idea that Dan was in so many bands and could actually play real good. For those of you who don't know who Dan Erlewine is, it's a must read.

In the Stew-Mac "trade secrets" Volume #12, there's a great article all about how Dan started doing fret-work and how his techniques changed over the years.

Hard to imagine that at one time, nobody would sell Dan fret-wire.
