!!METAL MATT!!
http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d177/dea...gntryout123.jpg It still needs the beveld edge added but Im not sure how to draw that so use your imaginations Ok Im going to have some extra wood left after I cut out a new body that Im doing so I want to use the extra alder and and some old maple and build this guitar! its going to be finished in black, im not sure if its going to be 6-string or 7-string but it should be a fun build !!METAL MATT!! WezV
I definately think this calls for a single knob, whether its just volume or a dual concentric with volume and tone. i would probably go with a smaller bridge as well, someting like the stew-mac pigtail wrap-around bridge. I think you want as little on the body as possible when a guitar body has so little room on it. Have you been thinking about Vee's recently? !!METAL MATT!!
Have you been thinking about Vee's recently? HAHA You know it man!! I cant get my mind off them I want one soooooo bad but i never finish the ones I start or I set them on FIRE I definately think this calls for a single knob, whether its just volume or a dual concentric with volume and tone. i would probably go with a smaller bridge as well, someting like the stew-mac pigtail wrap-around bridge. I think I like the Single knob idea it will add an over all slicker look to the guitar, and the bridge I have no idea what I'll be useing yet that why my drawn one look wanky because Im not sure if I want 7 or 6 strings !!METAL MATT!! Mickguard
Why not build the knobs into the side of the V (not the top, get it?) There'd be no problem with access to them, and it'd look cool...

The Fatalities
i like it! but why only one humbucker? i rekon you should sharpen up the edges too cuz it looks kinda out of place to me
whitey
one humbucker is sometimes all you really need, my next build, its just going to have 1 tone and volume, with the one emg 81, on the bridge, its the only p-up i use,the bridge,so may as well keep it practical lol
TeiscosRock
I love the sleekness of single pickup designs. My first project is going to be a metal machine with just an 81 in the bridge.
!!METAL MATT!!
God I love the look of a guitar with only a bridge pickup and if you do it right you can still get a huge range of sounds out of just one pick up so Im going to be doing my FIRST set neck and this is going to be a 7-string AXE all the way the whole thing is going to be finished in Flat black or gloss black not really sure yet !!METAL MATT!!
