Daniel Sorbera
It only was finished for about five minutes... It had neck issues so I chopped it up and stripped down the finish on the body. It will be finished very soon. I'm working on the neck right now and once thats done all I have to do is finish it as everything else is done. Daniel Sorbera
I have some more pics. The electronics cavity, The binding channel cut on the neck, pic The binding being glued onto the neck, pic2 All thats left on the neck is to fret and carve it (obviously to clean up the binding). Tomorrow I'll get that done, and maybe rout the neck pocket done, drill for bridge, and rout for pickups. It's looking like I'll be ready for finishing by wendsday or so. thegarehanman
Looking good. You use some seriously thick fretboards from the looks of it. That's more than 1/4" thick, isn't it? Did you intentionally not cut the binding channel the full thickness of the fretboard. I imagine if done right, it could give a nice purfling effect. peace, russ
Daniel Sorbera
The fingerboard will be a little bit thicker than usual but not as thick as in the pic. That is a stewmac pre radioused preslotted board. It will be sanded down after the binding is glued on. I found it's easier to sand it down -after- you glue on binding because it takes off all the extra glue. Just moving that one step to another spot in the build to save time. Mattia
Again, a term I have only heard on MTV and the movies I have -never- heard anyone say shizzle or snap or any retarted slang like that. Oh, my friends and I use both quite regularly. Entirely ironically, because of the 'dear GOD that's lame!' factor, but still. That's kind of the point. erikbojerik
i just don\'t see the point of worshiping people you have never met or seen. RIP dimebag. Godin, this guitar is looking killer. Can't wait to see the carve. BTW, do I detect a slight adjustment of your headstock design?
Daniel Sorbera
BTW, do I detect a slight adjustment of your headstock design? Very nice catch. You most certainly do Observe this comparision picture. link (left old one, right new one) As you can see in this picture I had issues with the bend of the headstock coming too early. I lengthened the headstock out a bit to give it more breathing room. Also the tuner holes will be all the exact same distance from the edge, and from each other.
