I only got on two passes and I could see a small amount of white haze in the lacquer in an area so I stopped spraying. I will continue tomorrow. The can got empty in the end of the pass so I couldn't spray the whole backside and nothing in the horns but I got the front and the sides. Seems like I just have to wait for my other cans then. Slabbefusk Posted August 27, 2006 Author Report Share Posted August 27, 2006 And shes done! It took all of my summer holidays and a week or two before it was finally time to play the guitar. I spent yesterday wetsanding my butt off and today after some brainstorming I decided I wanted a kind of matt finisih so I went over it with 0000 steel wool and I'm happy about the results. I know this is not a perfect finish but what I wanted was a nice looking player and I reckon I have achieved just that. After some wiring and setting up she plays and sounds like butter! Jon Posted August 27, 2006 Report Share Posted August 27, 2006 The finish turned out great, very nice lookng instrument! Looks like you have a small ding on the back of the body.
