But just a few days back I got a letter in the mail from DND saying I was IN THE POOL! Totally new hiring and job allocation system going on in gov't these days. I applied in May, wrote the test in July, got interviewed in August and finally notified that I'm in. It basically means that when a full time position is open they go thru their "pool" candidates and select the person best suited for the job. I could wind up in wood shop, machine shop or even on the drydock, I don't care. Lots of guys are retiring these days and people moving up to fill their positions. Quote Link to comment
