TheIRS
Nice, I happen to like 8 string guitars, especially the ones made by builders on this forum. You must have one cool girlfriend to want an 8 string baritone! Nice work, can't wait to see this one finished.

somn
WOW Man I like the Looks of them Pickups, I must have more Info !!METAL MATT!! 580 plus tax ( and 4 months of waiting ) I asked for them to have it voiced to handle anything from 85 to 16 gauges for whatever I tune to and to still maintain clarity in the low end (no mushing out of chords) the live wires will have all the ungodly distortion and low end I would ever want (rated for 18 volts) there housed in a 5 string housing instead of a six string because after measuring the hipshot string spacing and the 40dc string spacing I figured it would be ok thanks for the words theIRS ill have more pics up soon. yeah i cant wait to see her rip on the 8 string im just wondering if she will take my 9 away too lol Edited February 12, 2007 by somn
axemannate
NICE WORK DUDE! What kind of nut are you going to be using if you are using a trem? The reason i ask is because Ibanez is coming out with an 8 string model and I'm sure you would be able to order one of their 8 string lock nuts that is going to be on it. I want to build an 8 with a whammy sooo bad and the kahler 8 and the ibanez locknut would allow me to rip on the trem all day long (:

Prostheta
Great work man. Isn't the body hellaciously thick? I presume some heavy body contouring is in order there!
somn
Great work man. Isn't the body hellaciously thick? I presume some heavy body contouring is in order there! the body is about 2 inchs thick but yeah im going to be doing some big carves on it check out the bolt on next to it on the top first post
Prostheta
Excellent! The constant radius carve reminds me a lot of my Ibanez S1640FM which is quite lightweight, plus quite thin looking/feeling. Kind of like comparing RG thickness to Blackmachine thickness...!!
