how funny. if you are going to have 13 strings, you should get some guitar strings on it, too.

Yes and no - if the guitar strings are long enough, they will work. Tuning on a 12-string bass tuned standard would be:

C#, F#, B, E, A, D, G, C, F, Bb, Eb, Ab.

Gauges would be .195+, .165+, .130+, .100, .080, .060, .045, .030, .022. .015, .011, .005+

Indeed, a 13-string bass will be pushing the limits of a stringed instrument. It's either going to be extremely fanned to get a higher string, or have one lower that will hardly be audible.

theoretically it would. this bass however just allows many possiblities for thick harmonies across strings involving minor seconds.

We all have our first guitars.

Mine was hardly playable, and the electronics hardly worked either.

It's all a part of initiation.

His problem is he doesn't know when to stop lying and let it go.

Trying to sell it on e-bay...now that's criminal.

I love the part where he says: The rosewood stain didn't take because I forgot to sand the body.
