Prostheta
Good progress, but I kinda wish you'd have scarfed the headstock further back, or gone for a headplate and backstrap veneer :-\

ngaa
Good progress, but I kinda wish you'd have scarfed the headstock further back, or gone for a headplate and backstrap veneer :-\ Thanks, and as I said before the top of the headstock will have a swirl on it. To cover up the ugly glue line.
ngaa
Neck, http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa98/lo...G8/IMG00334.jpg FB, http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa98/lo...G8/IMG00333.jpg Rough control cavity/string thru holes, http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa98/lo...G8/IMG00360.jpg I'm upset about the ONE hole that is not in line with the others.. I moved the body around to drill the hole properly, and BAM; out of line.. Oh well, hopefully I can make it look better with the ferrules tomorrow. output jack, http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa98/lo...G8/IMG00358.jpg bridge shot, http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa98/lo...G8/IMG00357.jpg overall shot, The bridge is screwed on and everything, I just have to drill holes for the ferrules on the back (which I will probably do tomorrow). Also the neck and FB have been oiled 3 times in those pictures, and that's the most they're going to be oiled.. ngaa
What do you think, Diablo swirl, or oil finish.. Also drilled the ferrules today.. http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p77/JTDG/RG8/IMG00366.jpg
Prostheta
Try some test swirls to see how you like it, and how comfortable you feel committing that to your instrument. If you're not 100% then go for the oil finish.

I've found the 45dc to be perfectly fine, maybe it's cause I use a noise gate?

ae3
Great work, less is definatley more with this build, I'm not talking about the number of strings though It has a certain elegance which can only come from simplicity. How wide was your neck blank? Just out of interest.
RestorationAD
How about your measurements for the neck? That would be a great help to us all.

ngaa
Okay, finally a good-ish shot. With a good camera. Though the string path is doing some funky tricks in this picture.
