GuitarMaestro
1. Chuck Schuldinger was THE man....he is the best guitarist in death metal EVER and his talent was incredible 2. His guitar is a regular B.C.Rich Guitar which can be bought from B.C.Rich. I don't know the exact name of the model, but I recommend to just ask the guys at B.C.Rich. HTH, Marcel Knapp! Well what did you expect?? You have asked a question that can only be answered with a 100 page book, or a few months research on the web. rhoads56
and why would i oder from amazon.com when im . Tell me why YOU WOULDNT?? When was the last time you seen those books in your local book store? If you can find them locally, or can order them in, GO FOR IT!! Why do people who live in the UK have such a problem ordering things from overseas?? u seem quite rude but i guess u get that everywhere No, only from people who want everything handed to them on a platter before doing some work themselves and using the search function, reading a book, or researching on the web. Dont worry, you are the first newbie to get this responce, and you definately wont be the last.

rhoads56
i just want help, on if someone could design this body for me or already has plans? and show me how to get started. seems fair enuf to me. I have never seen plans for that style guitar in the last ten years. You may have to draw them yourself, or copy from an existing body (obviously impossible if they are custom made for him)
Scott Rosenberger
Looks like a Jackson Warrior to me with a BC Rich Headstock

Sindlei
omg NOOOO!!!!, ok now that i did that... Chuck Schuldiner was awesome, I love his work. His guitar is a BC Rich Custom Shop "Stealth" model, you can find it on their website -> http://www.bcrich.com/bich/index.html you could probably print out one of those pics, then using the 25 1/2" scale as a starting point, find out the dimensions of the body. metalthrashingmad
gd job my friend!!!!! rock on. dont have time to figure this out for a few days as i gotta revise for like 2 exams tonite its gonna be an allnighter and it probably still wont be enough revision. if anyone has time could work out the dimensions tonite it would be appreciated. my exams dont finish for another 3 weeks, then the day it ends i go to see anthrax and metallica. so i want as much info as possible for making this guitar asap. good work on the stealth your the man!!! thanks very much
GuitarMaestro
it is not available anymore and was never on their range of guitars for the public. Not true. It is the Stealth model and can be bought without a problem. Maybe he had other pups, etc., but the shape is the same....

There ISNT an easy way, and ive given you the ONLY answer there is. perry is quite right... if you read through this forum for a while you will get an idea of how guitars get built, plus alot of specific information which transfers across a wide variety of guitars, like scale lengths, bridge routs, humbucker routs, what kind of tools you need etc.... if you are only wanting to build it to play and not for the enjoyment of building, and only plan to build one,you may be better off buying one from bc rich...tools are quite expensive
smitty
he means that he would use amazon.co.uk not amazon.com when he shows the british flag
frankie
why was that guy sassing us, he should do some research on his own instead of calling you rude. I'm a newb and i know my place, why i oughta............
metalthrashingmad
u oughta what? love to see u try my friend but anyway, i was simply saying i was british with an icon as it is quicker. i asked so many questions as ive never seen a website like this b4 bout guitar building and i was excited and wanted to gain alot of info in a small time as im revisin for exams and dont have time to go through the website. well i would use amazon.co.uk instead of amazon.com as i would get my goods alot quicker and wouldnt have to pay a biger postage price, well i guess some people dont have to worry bout money so overseas shipping prices wouldnt cross there mind. u oughta what....umhum ok gd for you. spirit
Em, whats the need to gain information in a small amount of time? If you're revising anyway, you're not gonna be building, so you don't really need the info. A little time spent going through the main site and any relevant tutorials would be of benefit to you, accompanied by the purchase of a book on the subject, or maybe two books. If you want this guitar to work, lots of planning would be advisable. N.B. The tone of this reply was not meant to be agressive. Feel free to take it as you want, but don't expect civility if you take it the wrong way.
metalthrashingmad
your comment was not rude at all and very civilised. thanks, of course im not going to start builing right away, thats why im looking alot of infomation b4 i start it and i really wanna make this stealth, but im afraid ill not be able to make it without a template as ive never made a guitar before. wyldbil
Good luck in building a Stealth copy, my young friend! T'will be a fun and rewarding project for you. I think what some of the other guys were trying to say was that there are a million factors to look at when taking on the project of building/repairing a guitar. As you take on this task, I think you will find this lot to be very helpful as you come up with quagmires in building your beast. You won't find "plans" as such for your specific guitar, but you will be able to find wiring diagrams for whatever layout you go with, tips on how to set up and intonate the bridge of your choice, etc. One thing at a time, though. I would suggest starting with one of the pix of the model at the BC Rich site, and blowing it up by whatever means necessary to full size. Thus you can begin your woodwork, and start asking questions as you hit each roadblock. PLease keep us informed as to how it goes!
metalthrashingmad
hey, thanks for the support. the thing is blowing it up to full size. i dunno how to figure out what exact size it is and if i blow it up and print it out i can only print on a4 paper which sucks, i have adobe photoshop though. any help on blowing this up to its proper size would be helpful? anyone... rhoads56
You, my friend, are a total $%$@#$#$@#!! I have waited eight years to see Anthrax, and they were here (Australia) only last month, and i missed them (had the plane tickets booked and paid for, but couldnt get concert tickets). They are my first favorite band. To make your own plans from a picture, you need to find a clear, straight on photo. Measure each section (eg: length of a wing, width, etc) and compare it to a known measurement, eg: the fretboard. For example, lets say the upper wing measures 24mm on the photo, well, find were 24mm goes to on the fretboard, measuring from the nut. It might end up at the 14th fret. Measure an existing guitar of the same scale length, or use a fret calculator on the web to work out what the REAL length between the nut and 14th fret is, and you will have the size you need. Do that 10-20 times, and "join the dots".
