ODavidIsCoolO
I have been recently looking for a half stack to purchase, now i found two stacks that both looked good and sounded good and on musiciansfriend, they both had a good rating but i dont know wich one to buy. There is an Ibanez TB100H Toneblaster 100w for 599.99 or The Marshall MG100HDFX 100w with digital effects for 649.99. Now i know marshall is a more popular brand but the ibanez is cheaper and had a little bit better rating then the marshall so could someone please help me decide. westhemann
the dfx on the marshall is really cool....and to my ears it has a better sound than that toneblaster thing
dcamp67
If price is an issue, why not go with a combo instead if a head/cabinet? They are usually cheaper for the same output wattage, and you can always rent a cabinet and use the 8 ohm line out if you need the cabinet power at an outdoor gig. I use a Fender Stage 100, and have only had to rent a cabinet 1 time for a big outdoor event. Alot of the time I just use my Fender 30 for bar gigs, It's plenty loud enough, and we mike it thru the board to the P.A. anyway. Musiciansfriend has a blem Stage 100 here as an example. You can't beat Fender tone with onboard effects for $417.00 Rock on.....
bowser
check these out man, i personally think these would be better than either of those you were looking at; 3 channel, 100 watts http://www.carvin.com/products/single.php?...r=SX3412&CID=GA 2 channel, 100 watts http://www.carvin.com/products/single.php?...er=SX412&CID=GA or like a combo and a 2x12 from this page http://www.carvin.com/products/group.php?CID=SX The most important thing though is that you like the sound of what you are going to buy. Go to a store that has the amps you want, and try it out. Hopefully with a guitar like yours or even better yet your guitar. I'm pretty sure that you won't find a used carvin in a store though so you'd have to take someone's word for it who has one.
cerealk
I would suggest as a stack Marshall JCM800 in red vinyl! I dont think Ibanez stacks are that good from what I have heard and experienced. Cornford are very good amps too
Hotrock
I'm going to have to suggest building one. Have a look at 18watt.com or get in touch with Ansil as he's flogging off amp kits. I'm sure he'll taylor it to how you want it. Anyway, just a suggestion, good luck with what ever you decide.
