  1. YES, oh god YES! they make a big difference to the tuning stability. Crazy String Bends dont put the guitar out of tune(much). also, re-stringing you guitar is made really really easy! i`d say they are worth every penny. my €0.02 euro. john.
  2. cool, i love listening to old music like that, i just found a demo cd from my old band...like 4 or 5 years ago. we were so talentless back then!
  3. at first they seemed cheesy, but as i listened more i realised this is really good stuff! their album "permission to land" is a real gem... full of catchy tunes.
  4. holy moly thats a lot of geetars... thats 3.2 times the amount i have.... i like the slotted wall, very handy indeed!
  5. thats a really nice guitar dude! is that a hipshot bridge? if so, good choice . waddya thnink of it? john.
  6. im not 100% sure on this one but i think the length between nut and tuner has a impact on tension. by this reasoning, the 1st 2nd and 3rd string should be easier to bend on a 3x3 headstock than on a 6 inline headstock. but im not sure... i think someone mentioned something about it before.
  7. In order to accurately digitize a waveform, the sampling rate has to be at least twice the frequency of the waveform. Since the highest audio frequency is 20kHz, the sampling is done at 44.1kHz which is a bit more than double. get this, one of my lectures recently told us of a possible move to a new cd recording standard of 48khz sampling rate, apparently some ppl can hear the difference... have you heard anything of this , or is it just speculation? john.
  8. im deeply deeply disturbed by this...... and charging for shipping.....
  9. ive always felt that maple boards are quicker, heres a possible reason! when your fingers sweat, the rosewood will soak a certain amount up, but a lacquered maple board will not soak any moisture up , leabing the fretboard and frets 'lubricated' just my €0.02
  10. think he means, it isn`t illegal so long as you dont sell the guitar(not the logo)
  11. thats what i meant..... ie: get rid of all the tone circuitry and start fresh.
  12. i know the feeling! im working on a fretless bass at the moment, and i have never even picked one up in my life... let alone played one should be interesting...... that wood is great looking, kinda like lacewood.... also i like your guitar stand, i might have to make some thing similar myself. john.
  13. i like it, it`ll look awesome when the hardware is installed.
  14. call me stupid, but i still cant find that tutorial.... can anyone point me in the right direction? help a dumb guy.....
  15. could it be a coil tap? two hots(red/white) and one ground(black) thats how golden age pickups are done.
  16. just forget about the wiring thats there, and run two new wires straight from the volume pot to the jack. much neater job.....
  17. it would be hard to resist the urge to turn on the drill while pressing a fret .... or maybe that just my weird side coming out.......
  18. We already have a forum for that, you posting in it right now. im not talking abut a forum, i mean a gallery. somewhere you dont have to sift through pages of chat to see one pic......
  19. i always use d`addarios now, purely because they last longer than most other strings i have tried. I have very sweaty hands therefore my strings rust pretty easily but d`addarios seem to last twice as long in my hands....
  20. 10-46 are a great tradeoff between tone and playability, my choice of strings for sure!
  21. i think all guitars, not just gotm....
  22. a bit like this? http://fullservesite.com/john/guitar_angle.jpg
