    How do you like those templates?

    Its probably more work to try to fix them than to just start over. 1/4" material works pretty fast. You could probably have a new template ready to go before you fixed the damaged one.

    What is the neck going into? You should already know how far down you can take it based on your project. Why are you wanting to carve it? Why is it too thick? Im a bit confused at your situation.

    You can glue up a second piece on the heel to make it thicker. Dont adjust your plan to suit the wood, get the right wood that suits your plan.

    Teles have a flat area in that area so the cup will fit flush.

    Well it says 15 amps at 110v so think that number is right. Tell me this, are most circuts in a home 15 amp? How can I tell how many amps a certain outlet is rated at?

    I would be interested to see the actual measurements. 4mm too thin at the heel would put a fender neck under 2" wide at the 21st fret. I can't imagine that they could have sold so many templates AND had this type of innacuracy. I know they had some QC issues in the past, but it seems that they have been cleared up.

    So I should be able to just replace the plug? I was thinking I was going to have to install a hole new power cord (of which I can find none rated above 13amps). I dont plan on doing it myself, unless it is outlined in the manual 100% clearly. My EE friend will most likely get the nod here. I just wanted to have everything ready for him.

    This thing draws 15 amps. Do I need to get a certain guage wire or anything special? Any particulars to look out for?

    Why would you epoxy them in? Were you planning on finishing the guitar w/ the studs mounted?

    Your question in the original post is "any advice". That is so vague. You are still not making much sense. What is your reason for changing components? Just for somthing to do? You obviously havent played any of these guitars, so why scrap the pickups and bridge? You dont even know what they sound like. If you have done so much research, you should have some idea of the quality of the 3 guitars.

    Seriously man, its not that you ask a million freakin questions, its that you ask a handfull of the same questions over and over and over. Couple that with the fact that you have obviously done zero research on anything and dont seem to have any real idea what you are trying to do and it should be pretty clear why people are geting a bit annoyed.

    Well, Im going to pick the compressor up over the weekend. When I get home it will be the matter of figuring out if it can be rewired or if I'll need to get a 220v line wired in. Either way, I think its a pretty good deal. Worst case, I resell it and move on. Thanks a ton fellas. I'll let you know what happens.
