  2. wow, check this one out,its completely WACKO!!!! disc-guitar
  3. i think it would look better with the black outline like the photo you posted first, it makes a better definition of the pattern..... but hey, its your guitar !!
  4. artificial and pinch harmonic are the same thing. sometimes in tab book you see pinch, or certain other books you see artificial. your right about the method , the only thing is that depending on where you pick the string (ex:more closer to the neck pickup or more close to bridge) it will make different harmonic tone. hope that helps p.s. i didnt read the whole thread so maybe that part was explained earlier on, lol.....
  5. i have tried the krylon can for chrome cause i wanted to do my js but it just doesnt look enough like chrome, more like silver paint like librero said and i didnt found a clear that was compatible with it either.
  6. wow, stunning work!!! did you decide on a price range for your guitars? i think those can/will sell pretty good.
  7. hi , very promising project you got there i cant wait to see the thing taking shape and the final result, i love the js guitar. how do you plan on doing the carving on the body? keep us to date along the way, also do you have a picture of the ibanez prototype or something? thanks
  8. tuff month once again to choose from... maestro got my vote because its his first but everyones work there was amazing!!!
  9. very nice for a first, a little too much brown in the swirl for my taste but it still look great. nice work, looking forward to see it with a neck and all finished!!!!
  10. heres a little experiment i just made. i took 3 sheet of 8½x11" paper and used double sided tape to stick them together length wise to have a sheet of approx. 8½x30". i told the printer i had a custom paper size of 8½x30" inches and told him to print the scale, so no need to put it together and risk of screw up when doing so... it worked perfectly and i measured each fret spacing with my digital caliper and it seems real good, i think im gonna try to slot my fretboard tonight with it.
  11. try maybe minwax polyurethane rattle can, ive tried the satin finish one over my duplicolor paint for testing purpose and it seem to be compatible.... i bought mine at home depot.
  12. ok folks, im bringing back to life this thread cause i found out how to print the template with accuracy. the problem was on the printer set-up side, it was printing at a proportion of 97% not 100% and you got to tell him to use maximum printable space for the paper. ive redone all my template and they are now saved in .dxf format instead of .tcw for more standard issue. please , do some test with your printer and check measurement before using it on an actual fretboard to make sure its really 1:1 . anyone have some problem post them here, ill try to help you the best i can.... thanks !!
  13. LOL, ive seen one just last week at the COSTCO ,hehehe it was a stratocaster look alike, not like the one picture above, it was there for everybody to play with a little amp and was already missing a string on it. seemed very low end model to me......
  14. looking good !! did you do the inlay yourself? if yes what material did you use? wood or shell/plastic? keep it up
  15. anybody has a solution or a suggestion?? if not then brian or any mod could delete this thread please...
  16. make a skunk stripe with wenge or bubinga or any very hard wood, check litchfield tutorial on main site for an example..
  17. you cant put glue on the trussrod or it wont work anymore, it has to be able to move to correct the neck bow.. you must be mistaken with the carbon fiber channel besides the truss rod channel on wes tutorial/thread, those are glued in the channel..
  18. err, do you mean steve`s music store in montreal?? i go there once in a while, lol.... small world isnt it.
  19. and finally, 27.67 for baritone guitars. **EDITED** see top of topic....

  21. hi, im from montreal and so far ive ordered from stew-mac and guitarpartsdepot cause theres not much good store part around here. they ship via us postal service airmail and you only pay for both canadian taxes and $5 of custom fee when they deliver on your door. and by the way, tax are applied for the value of the parcel at the custom and dont take account of shipping charge. ex: $50 +$15 shipping usd = $66 cad for tax calculation
