  1. Got a problem on my axe. The bridge humbucker (DiMarzio Evolution) makes feedback if I use distortion. What can I do to stop it?
  2. I don't know what kind of wood is that. If the pieces are wide enough, you don't have to glue them to make a body .

    Solo

Yeah, it's a great solo. But what about Friedman's solo on Megadeth's Tornado of Souls? Or in Lucretia?
  4. Mmmm... when I pick up a classic guitar: The Ballad (Testament) Fade to Black Stairway to Heaven But, when I'm drunk and at some party, usually they gave me a guitar and we start to jam on a little blues a friend of mine write, called "Pistone" (Piston), just for fun (it's basically the same riff over and over, with words about harleys and bikers, and improvised-bluesy solos). Oh, and when I'm drunk every punk song is f****n' good to play too. Oh, there's also Led Zeppelin's Rock'n'Roll!!!
  5. Well, what you mean "it's already kinda thin"? (worries even more)
  6. 1 Yeah. Not that hard... 2 You can always glue the fretboard after the routing. 3 I usually cut the body shape on the wings BEFORE glueing them to the neck... 4 You're right. Actually you don't know how to hold it while spraying. 5 It isn't that difficult. Uh at the time we're making two neck-throughs and we're taking pictures... If all the pictures are good maybe I could write a tutorial...
  7. That's not exactly the thing anyone wants to see in the morning... Thank you. You've ruined my day.
  8. Ok. I think that if you make it that would be the most "evil" guitar around. Good luck.
  9. Mmm... if you can cut it out... maybe. But it will be hard to play since it will hurt you. Why don't you add nails pointing outwards as finish? You will be the first one to make the "Unplayable Guitar". Ok. Stop joking. I think it will be very hard for you to cut the shape. Is it going to be a neck-through?
  10. I don't live in U.S.A. Anyway, thanks.
  11. I'm looking for a nice GREEN material for inlays, since my guitar has green DiMarzio's. Where can I find some?
  12. I voted 24 frets because since I'm playing my homemade guitar (that has 24 frets) I find a lot easier to reach the 22nd. (well, I didn't take in account that it's a neck-through, but I tried a friend of mine's JEM (the BFP ) and it was easy too). Even if when I'm doing my solos I rarely use the 23rd-24th frets, but when I'm making noises they're very useful.
  13. It was hard, but I voted for Wes's Flying Vee. I liked the Seuss tele, but I had to fight against myself to not choose tsl's strat
  14. Well, after leveling the frets on a guitar, there's JUST the 3rd fret on the high E that does not produce any note. How can I solve this problem? Doing fretwork again?
  15. Ugh I wasn't able to take and scan pictures of the guitar... I'll post them ASAP, even if out of contest
  16. Well, I'll start looking for some way of taking pictures of her and I'm going to say that "That beautiful rough finish" was the way I thought the guitar... No, except for the finish, she is really good... beautiful sound... Yeah, it's my first attempt at guitarmaking, I'll put the pics on some day... Ah by the way... it has "nice" homemade mounting rings and truss rod cover... hahaha... I promise that the second one will be better
  17. Ever listening to Megadeth. And in my dvd player there's Rude Awakening. Then a bit of Slayer, Burzum, and the demo-cds of my two bands: PainStorm and This is Crime in Action. That's currently...
  18. Sorry if I'm saying a couple of things without being asked. He sayd the tuneomatic is recessed, so I guess a normal strat bridge would be all right. I made a neckthrough as my first project (it's *almost* finished, need some more fretwork to do) and I made the neck myself (duh!). The main thing to remember is to make connection holes BEFORE gluing the wings to the body. I forgot that and it was a pain in that-smelly-place-where-the-sun-never-shines to do them later... Mmmm I wanted to post pictures of her but when I saw that beautiful tele I became 100% sure that mine sucks . Maybe I'll post pictures of my next project (as it looks now it's a beautiful maple board, with a beautiful mahogany board and a nice pre-slotted ebony fretboard), but still it can't be as good as the beautiful "strat" I saw in the previous pages.
  19. Try buying them from warmoth. Although Ed Roman has the cheapest price.
  20. Hi all, after many weeks of forum-abstinence (I hear you saying "Who cares?") I'm back with another of my "Stoopid questions"®. Can I use a Stewmac radius sanding block with normal sandpaper without buying the expensive self-adhesive sandpapers they sell?
  21. No, it was like Scott said. Now it plays everywhere... Thanks to all.
