Opeth is a very solid band with great musicians but putting them above DT in talent and ability is just wrong. daveq - it seriously took some getting used to James' vocals for me but now i can't stop listening to them after .....almost a decade? Check out the album "Awake" and you might have a change of heart. Then again, ya may not. If you're a fan of Petrucci's playing (like me) you might dig on Liquid Tension Experiment. It's a side band of Mike Portnoy that included Petrucci and other musicians. really? i dont think ive ever heard a bad thing about legion or madison, so thats news to me. the speakers SOUND great, but i just cant get them loud enough through the bandit.... i used a 212 special, and the output jack powered em nicely, but this bandit doesnt.. hmmmmm

lol. ok peavey bandit 8 ohm output, 100watts. peavey sheffield speaker legion 412 4 12 inch speakers, rated 8 ohms. madison makess legions, so i assume that theyre madison speakers, its front loaded, so i havent screwed around inside to see what make the speakers are.

ok, so i treid out making a jack for the + and - wires that normaly connect to the combo speaker, and it worked, but it was waaaay to quiet, the single 12 was louder than the 412 i hooked it up to. what did i do wrong??

well, ive never heard anyhting bad about ltd's, especially not the higher end models (250 and 400). ive played the hammet one, and even that sounded damn nice, not sure on the specs of that, but id say if thats the guitar your lookin at, its gotta be pretty nice.

well, i bought my alder, a good thick peice too. it seems that people like my dime-rhoads, so ill draw up a good design for it. since im taking a drafting class, i might even do a CAD pic.. hmm..

because i have 4 1/4 boards of mahogany, and alders fairly cheap, and ive been told its a good starter wood. i think im gonna put up a poll about the bodies, cuz i really cant decide which one to do

which of these designs should i use?

heres the mahogany im going to be using as a top im getting alder for the main part of the body. should i do a 1/2 inch top or a 1/4 inch top though??
