  1. Took me a while to remember what a chuck taylor was! #6 for me, gotta love the Vai influences.
  2. You can get a piezo loaded wilkinson from graphtech, it's effectively the same thing as the piezo musicman.
  3. Those are some serious perks you're offering Ormsby...
  4. I like the secondary angle, and it fixes your problem.
  5. I'm a big fan of gold hardware, welcome to the dark side
  6. I've heard good things about the gotoh floyed, and it's cheaper than the original and the schaller.
  7. I'm with Xanthus, natural looks sweet. Also, you must have some insanely good wood working skills to do the lions claw by hand, nice job! Lots of Jems being built on here lately, hopefully I'll jump on the bandwagon soonish.
  8. Well unless you want to make a perfect replica I'd just make the nut width whatever feels the best for you.
  9. Yeah, the EET FUK was the lawsuit shape.
  10. Les Paul tone from a bolt on superstrat with a Floyd is very hard to do.
  11. Caparison Horus, unlike all the other "lot's of frets" guitars, The Horus has a 24.75" scale lenth. Google it, you'll be pleased.
  12. Never even seen a Mighty Mite in the flesh so I'd have no idea what the construction is like, very similar I'd imagine. Good question though, I wonder if anyone here has ever played both?
  13. The distinction is that Mighty Mite does not sell these necks as their own, they just make them for Stew Mac. They do this because Stew Mac is not big enough to mass produce their own parts, so Stew Mac designs the necks and Mighty Mite makes them. Hard to explain and there is not much difference, but the ones made for Stew Mac won't have Mighty Mite written on them, nor have the normal Mighty Mite conventions.
  14. They are not Mighty Mite necks, rather, they are made by Mighty Mite for Stew Mac. I got the Carvin neck-thru neck from Stew Mac a while ago, I've never seen such quality in a neck before, the ebony was pratically pitch black, it had two carbon fibre re-inforcements and plays like a dream as well.
  15. I think it would be cool if you arranged the diamonds in a random (but still on the regular frets) fashion across the fretboard. Just a thought, I think it would go well with the whole mosrite vibe. Anyways, got any close up shots of the sycamore binding? Looks sweet.
  16. They have great quilt maple... I sure hope they havn't gone belly up all of a sudden.
  17. If it's toxic, I wouldn't go sniffing to much...
  18. Yeah, the LED idea brings forth many new possibilities.
  19. YESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fantastic idea!
