    I don't know if this is too early but I've been thinking, would it be possible to make a tribute bass from everyone at PG and present it to Steve's family? You know, a little bit from all over the world to show our condolences from everyone at PG?

    I wouldn't feel so bad about making your guitar look used. My brother bought me the a book called "Beatles Gear" for my birthday and it arrived today. One of the first pictures I saw when I opened it up was a picture of George Harrison's SG from the recording of the Revolver album. The pick up cover at the bridge is beat to hell. So you're in good company

    I think we've all seen buddy playing the Super Mario theme on guitar. Check out this guy playing it on his 11 string bass. You wacky bass players with your fretboards as wide as my hand.

    It's been a while on this one. But I got the back glued on last night so once I get it cleaned up, sanded etc. I should some pictures for all y'all. Next week is slack week at school so I should have plenty of time to get some work done on this.

    That would be my vote. But I guess we should see how the other builders involved feel about it.

    I've been thinking about how to do this. While it would be more difficult on the face of it having two threads -- i.e. one for builders, one for questions -- it would keep things cleaner. The builders threads would be marked by each builders icon (or lack there of) which would make scrolling through to follow one specific build fairly simple. As for questions, is there not a way to jump to a specific post within a thread that would allow people to ask questions about a specific post/method/picture etc i.e. how did you do X here? Perhaps if the threads become sufficiently popular, they may be pinned for easier access.

    I've been looking at getting an inexpensive compressor pedal and an EQ pedal. I've been thinking about the Danelectro "Surf and Turf" compressor and the "Fish and Chips" EQ. Anyone know anything about 'em?

    In the 22th century, how many guitar players will you need to replace a light source? Five. One to actually do it, and four to reminisce about how much better the old tubes were.

    I had to go with the Rocket, it just reminds me so much of my current build I had to go for it. In the other category I went with Matt's violin. To be able to aspire to such skill, wow.

Sorry Mick, that's probably all part of Bill O'Reilly's boycot on France Anyhow, I know this isn't the most ideal, but I found this version of the page on the Internet Archive, but it is lacking pictures. Here On an unrelated note, if you're looking for a webpage that doesn't exist or has changed since the last time you were there vist the Internet Archive, their goal is to document and back up the entire internet.

    Short answer? An adhesieve and lots of clamps. For a longer answer, I recommend you read this page. It outlines the building of a semi-hollow body neckthrough. It should be a great help to you.

    Not to get your hopes up or quash them, but according to Wikipedia, there are no known Strad's made in 1721. His last known insturments made prior to 1721 was produced in 1720 with production picking up again in 1722.

    I had some trouble finding the bridge style I wanted for a 12 string. You can order one from Brian, for about $86 USD. Or if you have a Long and McQuade in your area, you can get a 12 string Rickenbacker bridge for the same price in Candian dollars. EDIT: They have a location at 721 - 43rd St. E in Saskatoon. Hope this helps ya.
