  1. This guitar is going to be crazy! I wanna see some progress on this build so bad.
  2. Now that you've pointed it out, the bridge does look further back on this guitar compared to a production wolfgang.
  3. How did the 12th fret inlay turn out? Love the carve on this one too
  4. Wow! This thing's going to be sexy as when finished
  5. I don't think I would be able to fit my hand around that neck, but when it looks so good, who cares?
  6. I'm suprised at how well the non bookmatched top worked out. It's also good to see someone building a pickup winder the same way I'm trying to so that I can see how everything fits together.
  7. I reckon it would look pretty good if you sanded it back so that it looked like this: http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i195/djh...ct/DSCF0557.jpg. But it would only work if the route for the 'orca' is really neat.
  8. That inlay is really nice, I'm loving the maple(?) on wenge contrast. The carve is looking great also.
  9. Your probably going to have to spend that much... Here is one for about $40 USD, the only problem for you will be shipping: http://luthierssupplies.com.au/product_inf...products_id=943
  10. Looks good, the only things I don't like on this guitar is the volute, I like to round mine over more like this: and also, it looks like the neck lams don't quite line up together. Other than that, the guitars are looking great!
  11. Looks like a very comfortable neck heel, I also love the inlay (front and side). Looking forward to more progress.
  12. cool bridge design you got going there
  13. looks like you've got yourself a nice looking guitar. I can not wait to see that top sanded
  14. what? You did all of that work in one night? Kudos to you sir
  15. TOMs look so much better, especially with the recess imo
  16. Scottyd: I really liked the woods used on this one, although I'm not a big fan of both basses and the shape. Jaden: I'm a sucker for flamed maple and ribbon mahogany, although I didn't like the cavity cover and the control layout this one got my vote. Hooglebug: To be honest i didn't really like this one. Its nice and original, but maybe a bit to original for me I do though, love the limba eshuffle: I really liked the top on this one, although I didn't like that big sticker (?) covering it up, made the guitar look cheap - like a young teenagers squire with stickers. Great inlay work on the neck although I think the guitar is a bit to 'standard' with the Gibson les paul body, headstock and control/ pickup configuration avdekan: Like i've previously said for other entries, I really like the woods on this bass, although I don't like the shape. Its a bit to 'skinny' around the ass. jaycee: besides the uneven dots (i know there on purpose) and the long headstock (yeah i know its a twelve string) I really like this guitar. A nice change to see an acoustic Boggs: The woods are, I guess, murky. I don't really like that brownish colour of the body wood. The covers for the pickups and controls are also a bit out of place, without sounding rude, next time maybe make them a bit more classy instead of plain jane? Avengers63: I've seen a lot of your weird and wonderful work. You always have a different shape and design. On this one the formica top looks quite different, but I like it. I didn't really like the boxy-ish shape though. Quarter: Lapsteels are something I've been wanting to build, and yours looks really nice with the woods, and the way you've used the body wood as the fretboard so its flush looks real nice and classy. This was my 2nd favorite of the bunch
  17. what, you cut up a cutting board or something
  18. you can do what ever you want, its not like its against the rules or something to do a bolt on.
  19. you do know you don't have to start a new thread every time you have an update, just do it all in one thread
  20. That is some fine inlay work, at first i thought it was just a picture of the net, but then i realized that was the inlay - i'm impressed
  21. that purple heart & maple neck with the mahogany scarf looks REAL nice
  22. that looks like a very creative 12th fret inlay
  23. they are a really satisfying tool to use and its really easy to pick up a good secondhand old one from swapmeets and small weekend markets cheap and geo if you use a convex not a flat blade it would to it a breaze Are you saying this carve could be achieved with a spokeshave?
