  1. Whats the EVO shape like? never heard of a EVO-named bass... (Steve Vais main Jem guitar is named evo though...)
  2. kinda offtopic, but... At least I can hear a difference in the pitch of my acoustic when i dampen it. and no, im not pressing hard or too far from the bridge, actually i dampen the strings as close to the bridge as it can be done so that the guitar actually dampens....(And as light as it can be done on my guitar... I dont actually have to press the strings really... just place my hand slightly touching 'em...) the difference definitedly isnt a too noticeable or distracting, but it can be heard. at least i can. at least on my acoustic(its quite crappy one though so it might be the reason of the pitch change... i just cant figure out how )
  3. Maybe the springs(not strings) are bad, and when you pull up, they adjust to the compression(is that the right word?), and when you dive low, they stretch?
  4. Ive only used 13 sets and 10 sets and I think i like the 13's over tens.
  5. Jotenki kummasti nyt mieleen hiipi olisitteko suomalaisia mahdollisesti....
  6. Thats pretty cool looking project.... But quess what. Im not sure are you aware of this but "lumi" means snow in finnish.
  7. Ive been thinking about the rods for a while too...(actually, ever since i read about them at benreuters.de!) But one thing Ive been wondering is that should the rods be solid or would hollow ones be okay?
  8. Maybe some of the components in the emg preamp are dead?
  9. didnt he say bolt on neck? theres no glue put in the neck pocket of a bolt on. or wait.. did i misunderstand something? sorry i have a little bit of a bad english, so i might sometimes misunderstand things.
  10. I use mainly tens and nines, though i have used strings from 13 set, when i last time broke strings, cause i was too lazy to go to a msic shop and my bro had a spare set of thirteens loved the thirteens, by the way. i have a quite low action, i have only my crappy williams acoustic(with a hell of a lot fret buzz ,should fix that) but then, one day... in school, i got to try a nylon-string (rather cheap quality) acoustic, which had an action so high that i could have put my mobile phone under the string with strings not touching it, and playing with it was just... amazing. loved that. but high actions not good for me really, cos every once in a while i have problems with using too much pressure pushing the strings.... not good considering the fact that i play piano, plus i sometimes have the notes sounding out of pitch(although rarely, mainly when im nervous, i also often do have a light kinda touch to playing) wish i could adjust my acoustics action though, would put it super high
  11. +Does the kahler spyder lock the strings to the trem like in floyds
  12. Well a friend of mine has used the stuff thats meant for removing hair color from hair, and in his use it has worked.
