    Beg, borrow and steal.Dont steal though Your school/college will have a router/drill press/bandsaw etc. Friends/family and peoples dads etc will have clamps and bits and bobs. Building your own guitars is not a easy way to save money. I live in the UK too and there is plenty of places to get stuff. Check my site www.guitarbuild.co.uk for links to get specific stuff. Stew mac is a great place all the stuff you need. I placed an order on Monday at 4pm and i had i in my hands on Wednesday morning, so dont lets distant prevent you from ordering things. Using native timber from local wood yards is another one to save cash. English ash, sycamore and oak is all suitable for guitars. Any good guitar shop will be able to sort u out with fretwire and hardware. Laters

    I dont have one of those guitars to hand to show u. Its just an L shapes Bracket that has a hole in it for the pots shaft to go through. Easy, but difficult to route out i would imagine.

    you need to plane it down and plane it flat using a straight edge to make sure it is perfect. Its not easy. You could use a jointer to make it flat but it is only 18" long. A good plane is the tool to use. Show us a pic if you can.

    In the uk it roughly the same price for dial up as it si for start up broadband like 128k which is around 3 times faster than 56k in real terms. I just wanted to find out what the majority is using, i guess in 2 years from now Dial up will be unheard of.

    I would add an ebony fingerboard if you need a little more bite, even a maple neck wouln't be way out. Like the zakk wylde les paul which is more trebley.

    What do you guys think about websites that are made for 800x600 rez? I mean c'mon surley everyone must be running at least 1024x768? No? its just another thing that bugs me

    1: No u dont need longer pots, it only Gibson LP u need longer pots for as the controls are mounted on a large metal plate. 2: Yes. Easy just wire a little switch that sends the Hot/Output to Earth(ground) and yes just use another switch to disconnect the battery. 3:Easy, remember hidh school physics about series and parallel? Just wire the batteries in series.

    I've took one of those guitars to bits and it is indeed just normal pot mounted in a bracket on their sides. The knobs on them are bigger than usual. i dont imagine it would be easy to make. The are not very useful in use i find, too hard to turn up.

    the B2 is around £1500 i believe, they have had glowing reviews over here in th UK by all the Magazines etc.

    Just make sure the neck is adjusted properly before u trim the saddle down and then do what unclej says.

    whats it like to finish? I hear spalted woods can be difficult. Nice. Are u using a strat bridge?

    Dont bother with the TSL 122 they break constantly, it the one that breaks the most. I know i return them to mashall all day. I wasnt aware that there was a TT40. I owned that TT20 a few years ago. The TT50 is a good all rounder, not for scooped metal but great for everything else. Have u tried hughes and Kettner?

    Just wire it the way you would the 3 Way switch, 3 and 5 ways switchs are identical electrically. Just buy a 3 Way FGS.

    It wont sound too bright, So many guitars use this combo. It wont be the same as a bolt on/maple cap. Check out Neck thru ibanez and some Carvins. Good luck

    I like the Iceman thing but i hate the balance it has without a top horn, your shape is much better. You work so fast Drak! Also who is WOD, im guess its a being/thing that takes all the mistakes and burns/eats/blows them up etc.

    All valve stuff and AVT series are made in the UK and all the MG series stuff is made in India for everyones info.
