  1. despite people lining up to buy your 3000 dollar guitars which are actually worth it people still don't ever listen to your advice, I don't get it.
  2. Looks like oak to me but then again, I don't know much. That is some insanely well defined figure, you lucky so and so.
  3. Grizzly has one of those, though designed differently, it is much cheaper and the grits are interchangable around the central hand tool, it is much chepaer if I remember correctly aswell. http://www.grizzly.com/products/h7514
  4. If you need a stronger concentration for it to work I doubt you need to then dilute the stonger concentration.
  5. trace a guitar on poster board, trace that onto ply:cut olut, you've got yourself a template.
  6. guitarbuildingtemplates.com They have RG and Dinky templats, along with others
  7. Your RGs odd colors remind me of Dave Weiner's guitars, all of them have odd color mixed bursts, but they always look cool, I think an orange burst into that blu would look cool.
  8. Look on the end of the board, if the grain is going toward the the 6 inch side it is quarter sawn, if it is paralell to the it is is flat sawn and if it is sort of diagonal it is rift sawn.
  9. Yes, it depends on what guitar with binding, some binding goes up on the frets, some times the fret sits on the binding.
  10. The binding is glued to the side of the fretboard, the fret is glued to the fretboard, the fret itself, the crown any way sits on top of the binding.
  11. I really like your alterations, and I adore the way you've shaped the pickguard. 25 Frets would be cool, you know what would be pretty cool IMO is if on the 24th fret you had inlayed "Dragon" and on the 25th "Rider". Thats just me. I was thinking not the actual letters more like solid pieces of MOP with the letters etched out and filled, like how LTD has the model numbers on the 12th fret of some of their guitars. Any reason for going 26.5?
  12. Theres a video of the flip frets somewhere isn't there?
  13. i could be grounding problem with your guitar. Maybe a solder joint came loose.
  14. "Hey! you give me an idea! A magnetic fretboard, a fretted and a fretless one! so you can switch quickly without changing bass! kitarist.gif " This already exists, I forget which brand did it though.
  15. You could just get like a 2 or 1x12 cab in addition to the amp. and hook it up so it stereos. I think it's possible but I'm no amp expert.
  16. I had one of those and loved it while I had it but it broke after not too long.
  17. Just for bragging rights, which is the greatest prize you could ask for.
  18. I have a Peavey backstage plus 25 and I love the little fella. It is a very versatile amp and would probably be pretty chep on fleabay.
  19. I used to use only floyd rose tems after I bought one hardtail I was hooked. It just so much easier to make it play so much nicer.
  20. This time, I am game. Since the last one I've gotten a car and a job so now I can get what ever I need. If this gets started up again, I'm in.
